Here's some history, Dave....If you actually read the story, you will find Chapter 1 is basically a mess.  I'm currently editing that Chapter off-line to make it a cohesive, readable story.....Second, I have done every chapter 'shock ending', which is usually a battle of some sort, keeping in line with what Mercury envisioned for the NES......Third, the cast of characters and the multiple storylines have become very complex, as has the plot. 

Someone other than me has always started a chapter, and I expect that Mike will start out Chapter 5, since Mercury is AWOL.  But Mike and Mercury understand the story and are the best qualified to post right now.  Various elements have been introduced that drastically altered the course of the story....The Introduction of Kurt and Nick, and busting Jimmy out of jail, for example. 

Chapter 5 will be the last, and will be where all the secrets will be revealed, all the questions answered, all the mysteries solved.  That's what makes a good story.  So, in answer to your question.....The story has been, as a whole, steered in this direction already.  I will reveal that Jake (who has now been revealed to be Gary's cousin) will make one more attempt to take over Bullworth with an even tougher group....The Punks.  How this will come about is yet to be written.  All I can say though, is I'm looking forward to a hell of a final boss battle.  It's going to be Dam Fine.

Yup. Think of the NES as the Harry Potter series. The part that Chuck says will "end" is sort of comparable to the first book of HP.

Well....No.  Actually, the NES will be a stand-alone story in it's own right.  The 'Never-Ending' part will be explained in the finale.

BUT....There is plans afoot for an 'Endless Summer' spinoff thread, to continue the main members stories, and after that ?  Prehaps a brand new school year at Bullworth Academy.

Oh yes, Ray should be released at the start of Chapter 5, as well as Tad and Derby.....Cause the clinics are gonna be full of some others for awhile.
