Post by: BloodArtist on September 30, 2006, 10:25:35 AM: well, i bet jimmy will be a running back, because they want you to get touchdowns, and dodge peole, like a little minigame. wich makes me think it could be one. like you watch the screen and then a button comes up and if you press it in time something goes right, and if you miss it, then you get tackled. That would suck ass. lol

Wow awesome idea! Usually American High school players play both offensive and defense if the person is good, so maybe he would be a running back and a linebacker.

Yep..

Just wait in a target bathroom in the town, he comes in alone from the bus. Then you jump from the stall and "BEAT THE SHIT" outta him...Maybe give him a swirlie..

Then the cutscene takes over, and Jimmy grabs him by the coller "Growls" and Says: Winning would be a bad choice if you like you face where it is
Then leaves him in a slump and walks out casualy with a smirk...

So you're thinking Football will play out like a QTE mini game?
THat'd actually be pretty cool to me. I'm not a very big sports fan, but that even sounds fun to me. Maybe it will turn out like that.

Post by: Murdoc on September 30, 2006, 11:41:41 PM: Making a football mini-game is pretty simple, running back or Quarterback being the easiest positions, but wide receiver could be done too.

QB- As soon as the ball is snapped you have to decide who is open for the pass and move around trying to dodge getting sacked (tackled)

WR- You run out into the field, trying to memorize the play, and then a small target appears and you have to catch the ball making sure it doesnt get intercepted

RB- The easiest, just run and don't get tackled.

I havent seen any other schools, most pictures I just see him going against people from his own school. I still wonder how dodgeball is gonna work though. Maybe GTA aiming controls, but how do you dodge and catch, and how bout the other teammates, can you control them or are they just decent AI.

In one of the trailers you see Jimmy doing push-ups in a american football outfit. So i think that you can play.

What you can do while playing the game is what im thinking might be limited to small stuff, but I hope im wrong, and I was gonna mention the defensive end position, where your job is to stop the runner, or tackle the QB. I'm praying rockstar delivers on sports though, but theres already so much to do..I rly cant wait..

Post by: BloodArtist on October 02, 2006, 06:25:06 PM: american football is a good sport, its just more controversal (in america) than say, soccer aka. football. i love soccer and football, rugby too, but not too many channels show it..... anyway, all those games are good. boxing, is one of my all time favs. my fav boxers being james toney, mike tyson, and wladmir klitchko. all these games are awesome no matter what, more stuff to do in the game.
