now i dont know, if this is true or not, but it does make a very interesting idea, hell, id buy it every year, cants see why not.

Whoever wrote that should be shot cause I seriously couldnt make sense of it. What's he trying to say? There will be a new Bully for each year of high school? What does that mean? A new game every year - or do you play on in the game - and every year theres a new bully?
-
only thing i could make out was his friend got a bonus for putting the final touches on bully.
-
That's a lie. I can tell you right now.
-
I think he means that in the year of 2006 the first Bully game will come, in 2007 the second Bully game, and in 2008 the third one. One game for each school year.
I dont know, doesn't sound that great. That makes me think of what will happen after you have gone thru the first year in Bully. Will the game start from the start again?
-
Prob go home for the summer, then get dropped off again next year.. but it sounds like a load to me aye - i doubt thats gonna happen.. this game has caused so much trouble - another one would just make people go wild about it.

YEAH, same thing with Manhunt.
People keep asking for Manhunt 2, but isn't gonna happen.
This type of games like Bully and Manhunt are really cool, but they generate too much controversy, and a sequel would be really hard to release.
-
Dude, even IF they released another one, people would all be confused. You know how there are sidequests?
Let's say that some random NPC Nerd wants you to retrieve a newspaper or something and you bring it back to him.
Now let's say they release a second Bully and that SAME NPC Nerd is a key character in the storyline, but he has no idea who Jimmy is and vice versa. The whole storyline would be screwed up.
-
I think that a sequel is always a possibility

I think that a sequel is always a possibility
Like DJRussell and Poison Boy said earlier, this game is so controversial that R* shouldn't even try to release another one.
Jack Thompson is already trying to get this one banned as it is. They don't need another "Hot Coffee" on their hands. They have to be careful about what they do in this game or a sequel won't even be in talks.
-
well, its rated T, and i havent heard anything from jack lately. so sequel can (and probably will) be a possibility, the only thing that can hold it back is if the game sucks.
-
Yeah, well, it will still bring up sensitive subjects.
I mean, it's all well and good, but just giving you the choice to beat up other kids makes parents mad.
-
a sequel could definetly work
we'll just have to wait and see
by the way, what grade is jimmy in
-
Not sure.. he's fifteen though so I'd say YR10 probebly..
-
yea, i dont think they would make him freshmen, that would make him look weak...
-
That could be interesting, although I would rather see Jimmy finish school and have Rockstar make it kind of a series.
-
i was thinking he was a sophomore but
he probably failed so, i bet hes a freshmen
-
Freshman lol I love that word.. only Americans use it though.. but I guess we wont know for sure until we actually play the game for ourselves (or get a good hint from a screenie released)
Personally, I would have just rathered Rockstar threw in a 2-3 year game period. So you play the game, once you survive the school you can choose to end - or continue to play - where you come back the following year.
Of cause nothing major happens or anything, but you get to continue to play until you graduate - and then thats when the game ends for sure.
That'd be cool but.. I doubt it'd be in there.

Yeah, that would make it a very replayable game. I mean, it probably will have GREAT replay value, but giving it a multi-year function would be awesome.
-
I wish there was a freshmen hunt in the game
-
lol, where did i leave my paddle.
-
Haha, that would be a fun mini-game. Smack as many freshmen as you can in 10 seconds!
-
If they do make number two, it will be jimmies son, returning to bullworth lol, seriously based like 10 years later jimmy drops of his son, were he got straitened out, and now its jims turn( jimmys son) to have a go lol
What do youse rekon?
-
worst....idea....ever, j/k yea i dont think they would go that far ahead in just 2 games...
-
I doubt that's true. I can only imagine that if Bully is a really huge sucess, I'm talking MONSTER. Like, it'd need to shake the very earth we walk on.
-
Lol Bully Stories anyone? Maybe following someone else's story or a friends? Lol i can imagine that fat nerd with the weak bladder becoming the "King of the School" or the Greasers reclaming it.
-
Lol haha.
-
How about a initiation for Jimmy? They get him drunk and force him to run around campus in only his wedgies. Lol
-
For a while I was wondering if they (Rockstar) could pull it off, cause if they were to I'd be guessing they'd have to start pretty early (in the next few months at least).
-
mmm, well since they already got the engine, and most of the parts neede. it souldnt take long. EA does it all the time with sports games...
-
Yeah, all they do is redefine graphics, add a new feature or two, and update rosters.
-
could work actually because its not like making a new game at all just edit the old 1 and change storyline..

They would have to change all the cutscenes and all the characters actions and voiceacting. It would take a very long time.
-
yes but 1 year should be about right if they work on it as soon as the first 1 comes out
-
some games tend to not be so good when u rush it like that, but rockstar if anyone could do it they can.
-
I'm not exactly looking forward to a Bully 2. It would make me feel like I didn't get everything I wanted out of the first thing and they're just trying to tease you again...
-
lol,k i guess so. i dont really care if there is or isnt, but if it is itl be on the ps3, and the graphics(and gampley) will be totally revamped.
-
iv always wondered how they are going to do that i mean if they do like all their other games and make it open ended wen u finish i mean are u just gonna keep going to school or u know since you have summer vacation how can they do that i mean wont it be a new year if you play long enough?
-
thats what i was thinking
but it will probably just be
summer vaction, after the school years
up, that would be cool ,following
jimmy until his graduation
-
didnt you guys listen to cough* znib *cough, he said the game will keep going after its done, he got that from a usefull source.
-
R* will be too buzy next year, la noire, new gta etc.
-
I do think a Bully 2 probable, look at GTA, its the king of controversy (I dont care what you say, killing cops in a game makes it sooo touchy) and its survived for years! I think they could say Jimmy gets expelled from bullworth only to be shipped off to some other boarding school, creating a whole new gameworld!
-

that's a good point, also his mother is a fan of multiple marriage and his new stepfather at date is already very old, so it really could be an idea for a possible next part of the game

Well, I don't think so. It may happen, I'm not saying it can't but hell. Maybe we'll have to wait a few years for even Bully 2!
But I ain't saying that the guy is wrong, he most likely is right.

Why are you necrobumping and answering questions/claims that are very old?
-
Why would you accuse me of such a thing?
-
Seriously though, why the sudden surge of necrobumping?
-
I think it's the Necro Bumping thing Mike came up with some months back, not sure if it's still happening though.
Also, it's better to bump than start a whole new topic on, eh?
-
Welll....Yeah.....But this was worthless.
-
Seriously...necrobumping by responding to comments seriously has no value, and is more irritating than funny.
-
Mike's gone and necrobumping should go with him IMO (unless you have a good reason to revive an old thread). :ajajaxh5:
-
I would guess that it will be abandoned now.
-
I like the idea of necro bumping, but replying to somebody from six years ago is kinda eh. It's not a crime to do so, but most of the time it's pointless.
But meh. Whatever.
-
but replying to somebody from six years ago is kinda eh.
Yeah this is more what I'm talking about. Necrobumping for its own sake is lame. But reviving an interesting, old thread from a year ago or less is fine. As long as I recognize at least some of the names.
-
Well, the monthly thing is over. If anyone wants to revive an old thread for the purposes of real discussion, that's fine.
But to answer a 5-year old question ? Forgetaboutit.
-
^ This. :ajajaxh5:
-
I don't see what the big problem is. I didn't see a rule that forbids replying to old posts.
-
I was being a sarcastic smartass. :ajajaxh5:
-
^^ Its not a big problem and ^ that's fine, I am too. I just think that the necrobumping joke has been overused lately. I'm glad that the mods ended the monthly thing. But I have seen some fascinating threads from a year or more ago. If you guys find one of those, by all means revive it. :D
-
*sigh* No, it's not a big problem, and it's not prohibited.
But use common sense. Answering someone's question from 3 years ago, or 5 years ago is worthless. The original poster is no longer around.
If there is some new insight to add to an old topic, fine. But if not, one should refrain from such foolishness.
-
Exactly. If you wanna revive something, add some flavor to it. Don't answer it all seriously and add nonsense.
-
An ant I almost stepped on walking to class this morning is a bigger deal than this entire situation.
