This doesn't happen often....But tonight (this morning, rather), an asshole spammer got through and put up 9 posts in a matter of 5 minutes from 4:24 to 4:29. This dickwad goes by "carriesery3n". as if that means anything. I know that A.J. or Chrissy will delete these as soon as they can, but perhaps a thread here to alert those of us might be in order. This spammer is fairly obvious, but sometimes others aren't. At any rate, we could report them here in case they get missed for any reason.
I guess what pissed me off was that this was done while I was on here, posting and reading myself. I pulled up the home page and here's all this shit on it all of a sudden. It makes a person want to just drive a fistful of nails into the face of whoever is responsible, you know ?

I was on here 6 months before I even got 1000, then got to 2k just as they were closing the old BB board down in April.....We were all bummed, then A.J. & Jared revived it here, so Iv'e had 3k since then.
But see, having people on here to post with is what makes this place. Nobody can post to a dead board for long, that's why it's important that everybody we have stays and gets along.

Just so everyone knows, I don't have power to delete accounts, only the admins do....I can only delete posts or threads or move them around. Chrissy is the one with all the real workload, as she is the 'Admin In Residence'. With all the other real-life stuff she has to do, one can see how handling BB can be a bit stressful at times.
We are all very lucky she has volunteered to do this for us so that we can have this cool board to post on. I figure that she has truly earned the title of The Queen of Bullyboard.

The big ice storm we had here, took out about 75 limbs and branches from our big trees out front, several that had to be chainsawed to even move them. We lost power for 5 days, but we were lucky...Other parts of our area were powerless for 2 weeks and more.

The only other communications site I use is my email.

I have a very small family and we don't keep in touch all that much anyway. Our line came over to the US 160 years ago, and I've traced back 3 gens beyond that into old Germany. I did find out the further origins were from what is now Poland some time before that. But have never found records of siblings in the 'old country', and even if I had, I wouldn't know them.
Chrissy, Are you more recent origin as far as immigration to the US, such as 2nd gen, or 3rd gen ?

I'm not even going to get into the generational stuff with the numbers and crap. However, I do know that my grandfather on my Mom's side came to the U.S. from Canada when he was very young and his original wife (she dies before I was born) came from Ireland. On my Dad's side, my grandfather actually lived in the U.S. but had German heritage and my grandmother came to the U.S. from Scotland when she was 6. I think it was her father (my great grandfather) who did some of the wood work on the Titanic.

Basically, I don't have anybody to keep up with outside the US. Hell, I talk here with you guys more than I do with what's left of my family.

I talk to people outside of the country, but they aren't family. I have a big family BTW. My grandfather used to have 15 siblings (when they were all living) and my Mom has 3 brothers and 1 sister. As you can imagine, my family is a good sized one!

The only issues that have happened in my family involved my Uncle. He married this woman from Lithuania about 15 years ago and they had my cousin, Kyle. My former aunt then turned into a complete cunt and divorced my uncle and just fucked him over with legal loop holes, and anything else she could do to make life miserable for him. The two then had custody of my cousin every other weekend, but the bitch has been manipulating my cousin and brainwashing him with all sorts of shit and now he won't visit us anymore. I haven't seen him in 18 months.

The sad part in family conflict is kids have to eventually pick a side. Not always are they ready for that decision. I knew the truth of my family and had no problem. Some kids don't even know what's happening and get stuck in tug of war battles.
