I'm majoring in Sociology and minoring in Criminology, I also have alot of psychology and some philosophy under my belt. I'm in 3rd year college right now, but I hope to get to unversity this september.

well im only 15 but i want to major in criminology to become a criminologist:D

Psych major eh. It's interesting, my instructor for psych is pretty dry though so I stopped taking it. I really enjoy sociology though, because you can tie sociology to absolutely anything. I could probably write a paper about this board hahaha. I like philosophy but I'd rather read it than have a class full of it. Crim is pretty sweet too, but I'm not getting into the criminal justice system or any of it's branches. Not for me.
I adore psychology. I love learning about mental disorders and such. I would really like to be a forensic psychology, that's my current forte. I'm actually taking sociology this semester, and my professor's awesome. Actually, to be frank, all my psychology teachers/professors were pretty neat. I haven't had a boring one yet. English professors on the other hand ...
Yes, criminology is fun, too. My brother's taking that, and I was leafing through his text book, and I may take it next semester. When I was younger, I used to want to be a homicide detective or a coroner [we're talking 8-10 years old here, mom was REALLY creeped out]. So, in a sense, criminology is sort of still on my list if I change my mind from psychology to something else.

Yea I wanted to get into forensic psychology at first too. Then I realized that I'm much more of a sociologist. It just comes to me, and the papers are so entertaining to write up. I've written a paper on the effects of Heavy Metal on troubled youth, a paper on the effects of marijuana on socializing, paper on satanism, a paper on cults. I could go on for a while, but yea I enjoy writing.
Thats funny that you said your english instructors are boring, mine was awsome, we got along well because he listens to alot of 80's metal.
I would enjoy psych alot more if my instructor wasn't so damn 2 dimensional and dry. I want to take abnormal psychology, thats still on my list of courses to take.
The psychology of crime and deviance is great, one of the best courses I've ever taken.
Well, my qualm with English (well, one of them) is that I hate writing what they make us write, because I usually have no interest in why whatever was written. Plus, all my English professors were old fogeys.
All of my psychology instructors were amazing. I had one younger guy, he was heavily into 80s metal, and my first instructor (the one who turned me on to psychology) was just absolutely brilliant.
I'm taking abnormal psychology next semester. :D

I know what you mean with the english, somtimes it can get a little boring, but you can spice it up somtimes.
I'm hoping to be in university this september, I still have to apply though and I have to apply for my associates degree as well so that I can use that as a tool to trasnfer. I havn't had alot of time though, working 40 hours a week and a full day of geography is a little much somtimes. The only days off I've had I've been sick.
Aww. I wish you luck with all of it, though. It can be stressful, I know. :\ I'm about half a semester away from my associates. Then I need to find somewhere to transfer to and ugh. :(

i talked to the careers adviser today about work expiereance and he reckons he could get me to work with an actual criminologist:D:D
im gona need a bachelor of Law degree aswell, lawyer is another possible path for me.
