Well? Someone who has played the game? Can you play football? (not soccer) (nfl/gridiron) what ever. But can you? if so can some-one please explain to me how it works etc? Please?

Yes, but you can't "play" it. You can pick it up and throw it, but nothing else.

"you pick it up, go to a guy or girl, target him or her and if he or she wants to play with you too, then it is possible to play with him or her", that's what was written in all those previews before the game was released, so it should be possible to "play"
