I haven't seen a topic on this but it's not that important.
Seeing as he's got the best score on "Future Racer" and "Vanishing Point"'s main character who's racing across the west to deliver a car is named Kowalski. I fiqure it's just an obvious reference.
If it's been said then sorry.
-
Maybe they found inspration there. Who knows?
-
Kowalski is a Polish name :)
(Just saying)
-
cool.
-
Does that mean the student will be Polish?
-
He's obviously of Polish descent... Or somebody changed their name.
I bet his dad did after watching the movie. He probably drives a white 1970 Dodge Challenger and is reanacting the movie and thats why he had to leave Pete at Bullworth... Or maybe I'm just wrong
-
Well i've never seen that movie so i wouldn't know :(
-
It's good you should check it out.
It's the ultimate car chase movie.
-
I'll look into it. How old is this movie?
-
It came out in 1971
-
Then it'll be crap.. racing movies (in fact most movies) made before 1990 usually suck ass cause they look so damn cheap, I mean look at Gone In 60 Seconds.. boy oh boy was that the lamest gayest movie I've ever seen (but the remake was cool)
-
Well, I guess everyones entitled to their own opinion. I happen to think most newer movies (including the Gone in 60 Seconds remake) are terrible mainly because of the horrible acting and generally unexciting plots.
You may like the Vanishing Point remake they're planning to make though.
-
I agree older movies are just better made and the plots are better.

70's and 80's movies sure are the best. Just look at the Warriors(1979), Dirty Harry(1971), some of the better James Bond movies, Scarface(1983), Die Hard(1988) and Beverly hills cop(1984). All of these movies have class and style. Not only meaningless violence.
