Q&A Facts About Modding Games For Consoles.

Q: Can modding BULLY On Wii, Xbox, PS2 be done? I really want to use them on my consoles!
A: Yes, it can be done but it is harder and takes longer to figure out how it works.

Q: Really? How would you do all that?
A: For wii homebrew channel codes, Xbox 360 Iso Modding, PS2 I guess a Code breaker or any other coding objects. I recommend and emulator for PS2 though.

Q: So is it possible to have any mods for those consoles and will they actually work also is this legal to do in consoles?
A: *Laughs* Its possible to do for every consoles but its harder due to files being crypted (into a folder which has to be cracked.) Also no this isn't legal cause its sort of hacking if it is done in consoles and you have to burn the CD's and have the original legal obtained CD for the xbox 360 ISO due to its hotswapping supports legal CD's.

Q: Can you find away to do all this? Like find the modding bases, decrypt the files etc.
A: Not gonna go do that, the PC version is the way to go, makes your time easier, faster, if any changes became errors I can easily edit it to fix it with consoles you gotta do a hole lot of work if you mess up.

Q: So can I ask more questions in this thread if I'm having trouble with anything and want any advice for modding consoles or know how I can have the consoles modded?
A: Yes you can ask for them. I will only show legal ones thats harmless and thats
XBOX HOTSWAP, Wii Homebrew channel, and PS2 Emulator.

Funfact: Some people said for GTA 4 "Can Player selector mod work on consoles?"
Here's what others said and I knew they were wrong.
No, it only works for PC.
Always know in the future things gets better and better and you can have the mods working for consoles.
All modding will work for Consoles but it takes to long.

Just to chime in here....hehe


I actually have modded both the wii versions of bully and the ps2 versions successfully but due to some differences in the scripting...etc since the console versions use a different game engine then pc....some mods that exist now that I have written would have to be redone specifically for the console(s) in question.

I have no plans to actually support console modding myself since the pc modding area is enough work as it is and with it being pc....you simply can do far more then with a console.

That said...I do have preliminary support for the wii version and ps2 version .img file formats in my newest img building tool that I will be releasing soon for everyone to use.

I will be releasing it as a companion for now to the current img editing tool that I released long ago and eventually it will replace it since it uses basicly the same stuff rockstar used to make the .img files in the first place using some code I got from one of my R* contacts that I will never name.

You are absolutely right but
Consoles can have the exact same mod that PC has its just really hard work take for instance
GTA 4 it was like 2008 Modding to 2012 just to release a player selector mod for XBOX 360 version, native trainer, new animation, etc
All these mods are possible but hard and its pointless unless you gonna go online with ISO MODS lol
I like ISO MODDING on GTA 4 i havent done it yet but I wish to have a flash xbox 360 so I can run it.

I tried open american.img (Xbox version) to extract bin files with a new tool (BullyImg) but not work. All extract files are the same (size and content). Anyone knows what happen ? Sorry about my english. Thanks.
