Simply use the [img] tags and put the link to your gif in between the 2 tags. Do this in forum profile customization.

That wont work, it says "You cant have more than two pictures!" Or something.

I think, at some time long in the past, we limited gif images in the sigs because some people were getting too carried away with them.
