Hello to everybody!
« on: November 19, 2015, 01:50:27 PM »
Hey! :)

I'm arvak, you can also choose to call me Sam if you want to.
I'm 18 years old, from Germany and I adore Bully. It's absolutely one of my favorite games and I am still waiting for Bully 2... I thought that joining these forums would be a good way to bypass that waiting time period. ;)

See you around!

Welcome to BB. I like your profile pic btw, hit and run was one of my favorites for a long time. Also an old best friend of mine was called sam. His name wasn't sam but his username was sambuca so I called him sam. So that's kinda cool ig heh. Plan to do any modding while you're here? It's an excellent pass time if you're the creative type of person and I'd love to play some nice new bully mods.

Welcome to the forums sam.

Mick... being nice? Are you okay buddy?

Thanks for all your kind welcome!

Regarding modding, basically I have no idea of modding. I like tweaking things here and there, changing game files, but it's always just experimenting or trial and error. I'm less than an amateur.

It's nice to hear you guys like The Simpsons Hit & Run too! I love that game, I have it on PC, BTW.

Hello and welcome to the board, Sam.

I'm also one of the hit and run fans, it's a very great game with many things to discover. Kinda reminds me of GTA but on a funny aspect.

Well friendo that IS half of modding right there (the other half being modifying actual memory while the game is running). Instead of just simple config files though, there's a lot more you can do too, like modifying script files. With Bully this is easily possible if you learn the basics of the lua scripting language. I've posted tons of guides on this... I think even one in a recent introduce yourself thread, so you can dig it up if you want. Sorry for being lazy but I'm on mobile at the moment so uhhhh yeah.

EDIT: Ay bro I got on my PC, so lemme get you some links.
This is a guide I wrote to help someone else, but it may still help you. http://www.bully-board.com/index.php?topic=23400.msg398619#msg398619
Also you can steam me if you wish, I'd love to help you: steam profile.

Well, yes it basically is, I may take a look at all that when I have time for it as I'm pretty busy at the moment. I've never really been active on Steam but thanks anyways, if I really get into modding it seems like being quite a learning curve to me.
