Title: Can't upload Pics

For some reason I can't upload an avatar from my computer. It says something like 'Directory not writable. Picture/avatar could not be uploaded' EVERY time. Can anyone help?

Upload to Imageshack and paste in the small box copy the "forum" link and paste it.

What kind of the file is the picture? .jpg? .png? Something else?
