Title: Realism
Post by: Al Arlington on December 09, 2012, 07:49:51 PM
It seems R* are going for more realism, such as physics and peds, who'd be getting arrested or be on their phones.
R* did say they wanted to revisit the "fitness" part of San Andreas, but can't for GTA 5.

So I was thinking, perhaps R* may include features above?

Maybe as you'd make friends you could get their numbers or see group members chatting to other group members who are far away.Fat and muscle effect your rank with Jocks and Bullies.
The Police would physically drag a busted person to the car etc. (Like in GTA 4)

What realism would you like to see?

Mine: Ability to get fat/muscular
Less clone spawns. (2 of the same characters spawning at once.)
Computers. After seeing the WWW in GTA IV I'd love too see how it'd be on Bully.

I'd think each time one gets busted outside school, have a cutscene with the Police Cheif bitching you out, then get fingerprinted, have mugshot taken, go on a work crew.

The Warriors was the first one to not have clones.
What RS did was take Engine from THE WARRIORS to BULLY
The enemy HP reacts the same, the grabs, and breakable items, except THE WARRIOS had blood
BULLY Tech is THE WARRIORS But is Rated T and has cars driving around, bikes, etc

The Warriors did have clones...the generic enemies and allies had clones here and there.

On another note, The Warriors was supposed to have a spiritual successor, which takes place in the UK during the 1960's...a Mods vs. Rockers game.

Also, the engine for Bully and The Warriors is just a modified version of the GTA: SA engine.

Oh, gawd, the Clones.....It was funny watching two Mr. Svensons walking down the street, one behind the other, but com'on.....

Knock somebody out, then go around the back of the school, and there they are....Com'on.

It's even funnier when they're holding each other's hands.

Only time I saw clones and when you kill them.
But during story mode they never show up as clones if they were all in a group.
Therefore their still no clones outside the game bug lol XD
How ever Survival mode and stuff has clones but R* merdge it all on purpose

-when you beat up someone he should "disappear" when you are far enough from him. I mean it's like they are ghosts who disappear after getting knocked out.

-if jimmy is seen holding a suspicious weapon (like the spudgun or the firecracker gun) but not using it he should be chased like happens in hitman.

I always found that really funny that Jimmy could walk about with his weapon out and nobody seems to notice.

Same with GTA.

Same with most sand-box games.
I looked at some websites at the wish-lists they want for Bully 2 and I saw one saying something about you should be able to have sex in the next game.
And I was like, 'the--' if you want that stuff go to GTA or something.
I think you should have real-time events I know there was Halloween and stuff like that but I was wondering maybe field-trips or something and you can do extra missions there.

San Andreas had that but got removed by complaining people saying how it was to "inappropriate" for younger gamers when GTA SA is 18+. :|
Plus, I'd like to see the main character having relationships to add realism. Maybe have one sex obsessed character (Like Roman Bellic :P) but not physicly go into it.

So kids don't have sex while in High School ?   Or get Drunk ?  Or do Drugs ?  Or cut themselves ?  Or get killed driving recklessly ?

If we're going for reality, why not 'go all the way' ?

I don't really want that, as I said Grand Theft Auto is for all that.
Bully is meant to be it's own game like the Child of GTA.

I remember this from Miss Danvers:
Boys are reminded it's strictly forbidden to go into the girls dorm. There will be NO hanky panky at this school.

I know that last part dead on.

For realism I think it would have been neat to have your character try out for things like chorus, band, and other extracurricular activities. Like Chorus could be like how karoake is done in the game Sleeping Dogs. Or join the sports team maybe.

The security is terrible.

@Crazy I like the idea of the sports team. Build up muscle.

You'd be surprised. After four years of high school I've learned that sex, drugs, and alcohol are pretty much everywhere, especially where you'd least expect it. You'd be surprised at the shit all the kids will pull in my area, and a lot of my friends or people that I knew I thought were innocent-looking, but they were actually stuck in the ghetto, and just lost in their own heads in general (I obviously wasn't immune considering my hate for all of it was pretty much a lower-leveled love).

I can see what you mean though to an extent. I can see Rockstar focusing on these very themes, of the underage and the mainstream, etc... They could still do that, but they can't make it "GTA Jr.", either.

If the next Bully were to center around something similar to my experience, I believe they could make a good (and immensely screwed up) experience, especially for storytelling.

Just make it all optional sort of like a respect system. Go out and party you gain respect from the jocks or go to the library and study and gain respect from the lesser cliques (sp?). Let the world change around you as you become the student you would want to be. Heck maybe toss in a character maker. Just opinions that's all.

A character maker would be neat. Just very minor differences depending what gender you are.
E.G Boys get a gym outfit (Like Kirby) and get a uniform similar to Jimmy (Shirt and vest custom colour & length) and stay in the Boys Dorms while girls get a cheerleaders dress and a outfit like Zoe or Christy (Skirt and shirt custom colour and length)

Each come with a range of voices & a pronounced name.

It would be interesting to see the voice feature , I picture it sort of like on the sims 3 where you can adjust the pitch of ones voice.  No I don't mean speaking Simlish incase anyone reading this is thinking that.

I was thinking more along the lines of having different tones.

One rough
One slightly sqeaky
One soft

Maybe not...
I mean, making us play as a set character builds the love and fanbase for that character.
And eventually if the main protoganist is likeable enough, people will not mind playing as him/her.

This is cool, but one thing.

Fat = no.

Muscular = Yeah!
