Bully 2 Discussion / Re: What will happen to Bully?
« on: January 09, 2014, 07:49:14 AM »
And the fact that Grand Theft Auto is probably one of the biggest (if not the biggest) video game franchises to date. Tons of people still remember and enjoy the prior games.

If anything, I think the announcement and release towards a sequel will only give Bully 1 more attention. People will wonder what the first Bully is like, and will want to try it out.

Ooh! I like this very much. Also love how the transparency transitions well with the background variants, that's a neat touch.

Bully 2 Discussion / Re: Character swapping system in bully 2?
« on: October 26, 2013, 01:32:08 AM »
I'd love for Bully 2 to have multiple protagonists, and having different playable characters seems to be the route Rockstar is taking for their games, but I dunno of any other way to do it besides the character swapping system.

It doesn't have to be the exact same as it is in Grand Theft Auto V, but I'm sure there's another way to do it.

They should have fighting styles that is both actual wrestling, and wrestling moves inspired by WWE. That would be really cool to see.

Not really sure about those other things on that poll, and I'm almost sure that at least one of those will give the game an M rating O_O

Bully 2 Discussion / Re: Bully 2 With MP?
« on: August 06, 2013, 12:25:29 AM »
It's going to happen. Especially since Bully is an open-world game, I'd imagine R* would want to take full advantage of that.

I'd expect the usual. The least we'll get is an online free roaming experience, and even able to have our own customizable characters. I think what they're going to do is basically make the singleplayer portion multiplayer, which might be what they're going to do with GTA V's online MP. Their calling it "Grand Theft Auto Online" which sounds pretty big.

And with competitive multiplayer, I'm not really sure how it would work, but it could.

I think he's talking about just local two-player free roaming?

I'm thinking if there were guns in the game, it would have to be ones that kids are actually able to use. I know a lot of people in their teens that had BB guns, and actively went out and played paintball and did airsofting. The least that they're able to include with guns would have to be water guns.

But they'll probably have to only reference lethal weapons, like through dialogue, the news, or in pictures.

They can also have a more effective use for guns that fits Bully's zany style, like as an element of surprise in a scene, as tension and/or comedy, or have something like a friend show it to someone if they want to have some serious moments in the story.

Bully 2 Discussion / Re: What's Next?
« on: May 22, 2013, 08:22:14 PM »
Agent will most likely be next, since it was the last game we know for sure that they're working on. I think because we heard their interested in Bully 2 as their latest we'd hear about it sometime after Agent's released, which I don't think will be until 2014, putting an "ideal release" for Bully 2 until at least 2015.

It really depends though. They might spend the whole 2014 focusing on DLC for GTA V, and if we're lucky, they'd release Agent right in the middle of that, with an announcement of their next game creeping sometime in that year's fall season.

Bully 2 Discussion / Re: Realism
« on: December 17, 2012, 12:33:44 PM »
So kids don't have sex while in High School ?   Or get Drunk ?  Or do Drugs ?  Or cut themselves ?  Or get killed driving recklessly ?

If we're going for reality, why not 'go all the way' ?
^
I don't really want that, as I said Grand Theft Auto is for all that.
Bully is meant to be it's own game like the Child of GTA.
You'd be surprised. After four years of high school I've learned that sex, drugs, and alcohol are pretty much everywhere, especially where you'd least expect it. You'd be surprised at the shit all the kids will pull in my area, and a lot of my friends or people that I knew I thought were innocent-looking, but they were actually stuck in the ghetto, and just lost in their own heads in general (I obviously wasn't immune considering my hate for all of it was pretty much a lower-leveled love).

I can see what you mean though to an extent. I can see Rockstar focusing on these very themes, of the underage and the mainstream, etc... They could still do that, but they can't make it "GTA Jr.", either.

If the next Bully were to center around something similar to my experience, I believe they could make a good (and immensely screwed up) experience, especially for storytelling.

Bully 2 Discussion / Re: Bully 2 Will Be Soon!!
« on: November 26, 2012, 11:16:45 AM »
It's a pattern with all Rockstar's titles. People think they're going through some developmental hell or something, but they're really not because they want to give the spotlight to only one title at a time. People wondered about Red Dead Redemption, and to let people know they were still working on it, they released some small footage in one of the GTA IV DLC trailers. Same with L.A. Noire, they started talking about it after they've gotten the Red Dead Redemption DLC out of the way. And with Max Payne 3, they also announced GTA V during Max Payne 3's marketing.

I'm sure they're still working on it, they just don't want it to give it a spotlight because we're in the middle of GTA V's release. They'll probably announce DLC for GTA V going through the course of this year, and then Agent marketing maybe next Fall. Who knows after that.

I'm thinking they're at least jotting simple ideas for it. I don't really expect it to come probably until after Agent releases, which I think is next in line after GTA V. So next generation sounds likely, which is even great considering you can expect the game to be on such a large scale.

Bully 2 Discussion / Re: The map
« on: November 14, 2012, 07:12:33 AM »
It was revealed that GTA V's map will be larger than RDR's map by at least three times, and bigger than San Andreas, RDR, and GTA IV's map combined (counting UNDERWATER).

Here is RDR's map to get some sort of idea: http://guidesmedia.ign.com/guides/14320288/images/reddr_map_legendary.jpg

So, how big do you guys want it now? As big as V's map will be? Smaller? ...LARGER?!

Bully 2 Discussion / Re: Bully 2 : Many stories.
« on: November 10, 2012, 03:55:38 AM »
They just recently announced that GTA V will have three protagonists that you can switch around at any time (and depending on the mission).

It would be pretty great if we had this in Bully 2. This reminds me I should work on my concept thread again! It involved the ability to play as four different characters.

If they had this, you should play as a Freshmen, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior. Of course, the story would have to be condensed into one whole story like in GTA V.

Nothin' special. Hangin' around here.
Seems like the usual thing around these parts! This is a pretty chill place, it seems.

I guess I'm doing fine, gents! I would be posting more often, but I'm currently working on an exciting project for this forum (thread-wise) right now, and all my Bully-related time is being devoted to just that, so.. yeah. What about you guys? (anyone who wants to answer this can, really)
Now that is quite exciting. I can't wait. :D
;) I'll try not to promise you or anyone that it will be good in both length and variety. I think it is, but we'll just see when the time comes :P
