maybe we could make up cliques and have specific banners for them that members can join..

Hmm... Nerd, Townie, Greaser, Jock, Bully, Prep and Prefect... That could work. Banned users could be townies and mods could be prefects... And everyone else could choose what they want. Sounds good.

That is a good idea. Just in case it was not mentioned, create a private group forum for each clique?

I had the same thing on another forum. I am not sure if the 'leaders' where mods or anything, but they had the power to ban/add people to the group. Of course all mods/admins had the same power, but the leader was the one who decided who should be in the group, since the mods/admins had other things to do.

Ah the dreaded time zone, it is 11 AM here. Anyway, I think there should be a thread where you apply to be the leader of a group, with a good reason, then people vote yes or no. It would be good to have a thread for each category with the applicants and a poll, plus each persons application, but that would require like half an hour of work, DGAF is probably busy enough as it is.

ahhhh the old cliques feature.
It's somethin that i was gonna do when the board started but in all honesty i dont think it would be a good idea. it would cause a divide between the board, preppies would hate the greasers, nobody would want to be a nerd etc etc and the board would become a place to flame members who aint in the same clique as you. I think it would be more trouble than its worth honestly.
Another thing is, there's not much reward for being in a certain clique- i mean you wouldn't be able to do anything differently it would just mean a banner in your sig or somethin i dunno.
If you can list ther good points or make it sound interesting then i'll do it i'll create a 'clique culture' I'm always tryin to think of ways to make bully-board more interestin.
Also, if you want to look at http://www.vbulletin.org and look for some cool hacks that could make a clique culture more interesting then go for it i'll stick some of them on.

Well adding this with the shop feature some cliques would be able to get free items depending on what clique they are in. Jocks would get free sports games in the arcade, preppies would be able to make there name look pretty, etc. Also, each clique would have it's own forum to post in (even mods won't be able to look into it)...

Well since the majority of active members are mods it would kind of defeat the purpose of having private forums now wouldn't it?
