Some men in prison are forced to have sex, they don't care if you want to or not. Think about it for a minute you got stone cold killers and such that will be there until they get killed or grow old and die. Idk about you all but I'd try my best to kill someone if they tried to do that to me.

Masturbation gets redundant. And a good chunk of prison sex that occurs isn't consensual. It's rape. Not only are the offenders getting their rocks off, rape is also a form of control. When they're in prison, they're in a controlled (to an extent) environment, meaning they're the ones being controlled. Rape puts them back in control, even if it's only for a short amount of time. And they don't care. Also, the prison guards don't care, they look the other way.

A good read, "A World Apart", by Gustav Herling (1919-2000), an account of his experiences in the Soviet Gulag System from 1940-42.

This paticular Gulag described in the book, Kargopol, near Yercevo in the Archangel reigon of Russia, also housed women prisoners. No man-on-man rapes are described in the book, but rapes of the women, particularly by gangs of Urkas, are. Any female unlucky enough to be caught alone outside after dark and out of sight of the gaurds was fair game.

I can see why they wouldn't be no man on man there, only makes sense if there was women there. But damn that would suck for them, any reasons why they housed women as well?

All I can say was at the time of the great purges in the Soviet Union,cira 1937, they weren't thinking of setting up seperate facilities for men and women, especally since these Gulags were mostly all prisoner-built.

Also, women served as clerks and in the kitchens of the camps, among other things.

Gulag? Fortunately I have beaten the Communists, if not they will establish gulag-type thing in Indonesia.
