Oh, Good !!  Although it seems Mercury has slowed down a bit....Maybe spring break, if they have such a thing over there.....And, I will admit there is a lot of sub-stories and such that makes it hard for the average person to keep up with.....And, good old writer's block too.....What should our valiant characters do next ?

Ahh, damn....Eat some Turkey, I'll figure it out.....

I had spring break this week.  Unfortunately I had lots of things to do, namely midterms and a term paper.  I still had time to pop in on BB though and read the NES. :)

I have catching up...

Post by: Mercury on March 21, 2010, 05:25:49 PM
Chuck, two things ! First, you were right about the Spring break ! Secondly, Tony was in a pretty tricky situation... I was thinking about it, that's right, but I didn't want the story to look like another bad copy of a Sherlock Holmes investigation... I want the Winter to come soon !

Well, thanks Scratch....We appriciate that....At least some of you are reading, and that helps us want to make a good story.

Mercury....You know Tony is just feeling his way along, he is just a kid, after all....But we have made him a little bit more on the ball than Jimmy was, so he won't be used by anybody.  Just a normal kid having to deal with abnormal things in this whacked-out hellhole of a school.....But he has smarts, and can figure things out.

I think you have done a hell of a good job so far, and look forward to seeing your story posts on NES......Doubt if I would have kept going otherwise.

We are coming to the end of November in the story, and soon will flip into December...As everyone knows, It snows in the North-East come December.  So, say a week or so, in story time, should be the first snowfall of the story......Ready ?

It's funny how everyone thinks the first New England snow is in December.  This year the first snow was in October, and 2 years ago it wasn't until February.

Just that he is better able to figure things out than Jimmy.

I'd like to see he people that he gets revenge on find out and come after him.  They can't really smash his balls for revenge, but maybe they'll slam his pecker in a door or something.

Okay, I've sent the P.M. for us to have a section, and this thread will be in. This will be created in the week-end. This will include The Never Ending Story, NES Story Comments, this thread, and the "bully fanfic". The name of the section will be "Bullworth NES : Tony's Story".

Another question, relative to the story.......

Does anyone know the names of the Carnival people ?

You know, the ones running the games and such ?
Title: Re: Questions for the Never Ending Story
Post by: Mercury on April 16, 2010, 05:25:47 PM
Yeah, I asked everyone before doing it, man ! It can be cancelled anyway, but wouldn't it be better with a whole section organized around the NES ?

Sorry for the carnival folk, I may search for you... Post here if I find anything...
Title: Re: Questions for the Never Ending Story
Post by: Mercury on April 16, 2010, 06:15:17 PM
Okay, Chuck, here's an update for what you asked !

The midget featuring in the "dunk tank" (Did I say it right ?) is called Hector.
The guy that is running the Baseball game is called Dorsey. Be careful : he's the guy that gives the prices in the souvenir tent, and the guy proposing you to mow the lawn for cash.
Crystal is the name of the woman running the Shooting Range.
You might need Freeley, the rides operator.

Well, is that what you were looking for ?
Title: Re: Questions for the Never Ending Story

Yes, having Jake interact with other Carnival people willbe made easier if I know who they are.

Is the High Striker girl a copy of Crystal ?  You didn't mention her.  I always liked listing to her comments.

Oh, uh, I gotta check it out, I think that yes... Like Dorsey teleporting to the souvenir tent...

Title: Re: Questions for the Never Ending Story
Post by: BloodChuckZ on April 24, 2010, 02:20:43 AM
Jake isn’t going to do anything with them….Except sell them to the Clique leaders.

Jake is a very complex character. We know that he is Schizophrenic….and that he craves both power and admiration.  Right after he arrived at Bullworth, he began his smuggling activities, not just to gain cash, but to gain control of the school.  But Jake, bright as he might be, makes mistakes because of his anger and impatience.

When he got pissed at Tony for usurping his clothing operations, he tried to run him down with a car, which he wreaked, bringing the Prefects.  This caused to him to go underground to avoid being caught. Without his meds, Jake slipped deeper into paranoia, and planned out and executed the bombings. He planned it to start a clique war, and in that way, in his deluded mind, he would be able to step in and take control.

What he didn’t figure on, though, was the interference of the Police, and the lockdown of the school and the scattering of the Cliques for awhile. He then came up with another plan. He would change his identity, call the clique leaders together, and claim the bombings were the work of terrorists, thereby controlling them with fear. This has worked for awhile, but the problem is, Jake is not on the scene to take the glory. Stuck at the souvenir tent selling weapons and clothing is not what he wants. He wants control, and he wants everyone to bow down to his greatness. This is not going to happen as long as he is Ace Adams, Carnival flunky.

So, he has hatched a new plan. He will equip the cliques with all sorts of weaponry, especially the newly-found Air Rifles, then come up with a way to incite a REAL clique war….And then step in and somehow halt the fighting, save the school, and be everyone’s hero. How he is going to do this isn’t exactly clear to him…Yet.  But Jake doesn’t let little things like details get in the way of his plans.  Even though he has failed to accomplish his goals so far, he is sure that this plan will somehow succeed.

What’s going to happen ?  Stay tuned to the Never Ending Story in the coming months to find out...................

I was JUST writing, when I saw a new E-Mail incoming, you had written a new part to the story... But it seems that we don't interfere.
Title: Re: Questions for the Never Ending Story
Post by: BloodChuckZ on April 24, 2010, 05:37:13 PM
No...I didn't want to interface with what you had planned from Crabblesnicth, and since Dudeman advanced the story a day, you would reval that later.  I also figure Piff the Skull is your part, and I would like to see where it goes, in relation to Algie's revenge.

Do you have a feed set up on this section ?

Title: Re: Questions for the Never Ending Story

I remind you that I don't think much when writing... This means that I don't even know what is going to happen to the Bullies. If you have an idea, feel free to write...

Title: Re: Questions for the Never Ending Story

The... Jocks ? We firstly have to write about Tony and his employees stealing the Greasers' bikes.
Title: Re: Questions for the Never Ending Story
Post by: BloodChuckZ on April 27, 2010, 10:15:15 AM
What about Steve ?  Didn't he quit school to go run a bike shop over in New Coventry somewhere ?  How does he figure into that ? Or does he ?
Title: Re: Questions for the Never Ending Story
Post by: Mercury on April 30, 2010, 05:06:06 AM
Awww... My bad, entirely my bad. I'll rewrite what's coming after Tony leaves the bikes shop. Thank you for remembering this, Chuck ! Even if I'm young, some things pass through my mind...
Title: Re: Questions for the Never Ending Story
Post by: BloodChuckZ on May 01, 2010, 10:17:30 PM
That's allright Mercury,  LOL......Happens to all of us.......

Couple of questions on the re-write......

If there are three boys after a bike, why are only two paying ? When leaving, does Constantinos have his own bike ? (or a stolen one ?)

Another.......What is "As he had seen on the sheet...." ?     What Sheet ?
Title: Re: Questions for the Never Ending Story
Post by: Mercury on May 02, 2010, 06:37:00 AM
Constantinos has his own bike, and the sheet is the sheet that was brought to him by the prefects... All the names of the kids that didn't come back...
Title: Re: Questions for the Never Ending Story
Post by: BloodChuckZ on May 02, 2010, 05:15:23 PM
Oh....That Sheet.  OK.

Maybe it isn't clear enough ?
Title: Re: Questions for the Never Ending Story
Post by: BloodChuckZ on May 03, 2010, 06:10:08 PM
Wasn't to me .....That's why I asked.

Perhaps......"As he had seen on the sheet of those not returning to school brought to him by the Prefect........"
Title: Re: Questions for the Never Ending Story
Post by: BloodChuckZ on May 03, 2010, 06:21:36 PM
Oh, forgot......What's in the Crabblesnich letter ?

Need to know before I continue that part....Or you can tell me (or E-mail me), and I'll write it into the next segment.......
Title: Re: Questions for the Never Ending Story

Comment out of subject real quick... In the past few months I have been insanely busy with school that I haven't had any time with the story. Once the summer starts, I will try to catch up on it and take part. Sound alright?

COntinue about Algie, or some guy... I'll continue the concert part soon !
Title: Re: Questions for the Never Ending Story

OK, it's a deal....
Title: Re: Questions for the Never Ending Story
Post by: Mercury on May 15, 2010, 06:31:02 PM
Done ! What do you think of this... ? I took the name of Benny from a part that Chuck wrote, so there's a lien in there !
Title: Re: Questions for the Never Ending Story
Post by: BloodChuckZ on May 15, 2010, 11:38:15 PM
Benny is a member of Kurt's group.   I inadverntly named the carnival owner that, also, so I'm going to go back and change that name to "Billy Bob"......That will fit better.

Think I will work one of Dudeman's characters in to the auditorium story, if you don't mind....I'll introduce him into the crowd, and you can use him from there.......
Title: Re: Questions for the Never Ending Story
Post by: BloodChuckZ on May 15, 2010, 11:58:02 PM
OK, fixed the carnival part.....Now the owner is "Billy Bob"......

Thanks for saying something here, I wouldn't have checked otherwise.

Questions.....Are Tony, Karen, Constantinos, or Laurant at the concert ?

As the Bullies are laid up in the infirmary, the Jocks are knocked out over at the Observatory, then the only ones at the concert are --- Preps, Greasers, Nerds (minus Algie), and the Non-cliques....Right ?

Remember that Kurt has only gotten ONE of the Air Rifles from Jake (Ace Adams) so far.....In fact, there are only 10 of these Rifles in total.....
Title: Re: Questions for the Never Ending Story
Post by: Mercury on May 16, 2010, 04:25:17 AM
Okay, okay... The one is in Tibo's hands.

And I guess our heroes will be there !
Title: Re: Questions for the Never Ending Story
Post by: BloodChuckZ on May 19, 2010, 02:04:12 AM
That's good, haven't heard from them since the bike deal....

Wonder what Kurt is afrer ?  He's gonna have a hard time getting into that file cabinet....

Unless you are sending them to ANNOTHER office......
Title: Re: Questions for the Never Ending Story
Post by: Mercury on May 19, 2010, 05:55:04 AM
Or unless there is an hostage !
Title: Re: Questions for the Never Ending Story
Post by: BloodChuckZ on May 20, 2010, 01:09:04 AM
Hostage.....How Intriguing.....

A female hostage, perhaps ?
Title: Re: Questions for the Never Ending Story
Post by: Mercury on May 21, 2010, 10:41:54 AM
Don't know... Why that ? I don't know how to introduce this, man...
Title: Re: Questions for the Never Ending Story
Post by: BloodChuckZ on May 22, 2010, 07:06:27 AM
Well...first off, I don't know what he's after....A file ? Or somethong Else ?

Second, I don't know where he is headed....Pete & Tony's office, or somewhere else.

If it's Pete & Tony's office, he's gonna play hell getting anything out of that now heavly-fortified file cabinet....If somewhere else...(Teacher's Lounge ? Still another place ?), it would have to be a place that has the thing he is looking for.

Third, this has to be real important to him to have gone through the trouble of starting a mini-riot in the theater.....

So....If he were to take a hostage....It would have to be someone that he could get away with doing that to....That could be held prisioner at the house, without anybody knowing....Because, otherwise, we would have to send Kurt underground to keep from getting caught, like we had to do to Jake.
Title: Re: Questions for the Never Ending Story
Post by: BloodChuckZ on May 23, 2010, 10:05:45 AM
OK....Since your post, see where he was headed...

But...(Supense).....What mystery thing does he need from his old school file ?

(BTW....Crabblesnitch office is on the Second Floor).
Title: Re: Questions for the Never Ending Story
Post by: Mercury on May 24, 2010, 01:49:16 PM
There ain't no second floor, ay !
Title: Re: Questions for the Never Ending Story
Post by: BloodChuckZ on May 24, 2010, 04:51:48 PM
The concert is in the Auditorium at the School, Right ?

The School has a basement, 1st floor, 2nd floor.

Crabblesnitch's office is on the second floor.

If not, what am I missing ?
Title: Re: Questions for the Never Ending Story
Post by: Mercury on May 25, 2010, 11:39:07 AM
Ah, I didn't count it so !

Basement (-1)
Ground Floor (0)
First Floor (1)
Title: Re: Questions for the Never Ending Story
Post by: BloodChuckZ on May 26, 2010, 03:18:49 PM
In America, the basement is never "-1"......it's just a basement.

The ground floor is always the First floor, never "Floor 0"

The only "0" we have over here is when a building gets knocked down, then it's "Ground Zero".....

Yeah, there is a difference between the floor systems in America vs. everywhere else.  The ground floor here is always called the first floor.

No, in America it goes 1st floor, 2nd floor etc. But everywhere else it goes Ground floor, 1st floor, etc.

Glad that's all cleared up......

Now Mercury.....I need you to finish off the concert night part of the story, so I can move my part along...The remaining cliques are stuck at the concert fighting.....For Algie to continue his revenge, they must be assembeled each alone in one of their areas....The Preps are next....

Our word count for the story has just passed 90,000 words.

I'm now reading 92,000 total....

That was great.....I've been looking for a way to get Derby out of the way, away from the rest of the Preps.....Lola is about to strike again.....

If you want to post Tony's meeting with the Greasers, go ahead...

Just hold up on the clothing delevery at Shinjo's, I'll have Lola lure the Preps off (after Derby and Pinky have left for the meeting with Tony).....

You notice each time a clique is attacked, the leader is not in the group....(Somebody has to be healthy enough to go and get the air rifle from Jake).......

So, this will work out great.....I'll try to get the next post up within 24 hrs......
Title: Re: NES Questions

Perfect thing ! Keep in mind that Tony does NOT have the clothes.

Important...Do not take the Prep clique to the meeting at Shinjo's....

Just Derby and Pinky, along with Biff......

The rest are getting......Well, Piff-ed....

Mercury, send Tony to the Greasers, and to the Shinjo's meeting with Derby, Pinky and Bif....

We even got a new author to bridge in a fight scene.

Haha, if Pinky says it to Christy... The secret's dead ! She may keep it for herself... Well, we'll see...

Johny Vincent, ay ? Wait... Yeah, that's it, he went to the "Hot Rod Highschool". He was replaced by Steve, another Greaser, but Steve opened his own black Bike Shop after the bombings. Sooo Peanut is the new leader !

Title: Re: NES Questions

Hmmm... That's a good question, but I think it's hard to gather people who like combing their hair back and dressing in leather jackets. Johnny himself is the leader  of the Greasers and doesn't have his hair combed back !
Title: Re: NES Questions
Post by: Repo Man on June 22, 2010, 11:54:12 PM
With Johnny's personality I think that he already has taken over that school...maybe we could bring him back in Tony's Story like he's expelled and came back to see his old greaseball buddies...
Title: Re: NES Questions
Post by: BloodChuckZ on June 23, 2010, 03:06:07 AM
I don't recall who got rid of Johnny V.....But, I was under inpression it was a trade school in Detroit.....At any rate, he had to dump Lola when he left, probably tired of all her shit...

Bringing him back ?  Might be possible later in the story, springtime prehaps...He would have to fight Peanut for the leadership of the clique, I suppose....My impression was that Peanut was his handpicked successor, however.  May be noted that Lola quit school after Johnny left, but was hanging around New Coventry before she hooked up with Kurt.

Other old clique leaders who are gone are....Earnest, who was sent to the sex-addiction clinic before the start of the NES story. It is doubtful weather he will ever be back, and the Nerds really don't want him back as a clique leader.  I suspect the Melvin, the new clique leader, would just squash him if he tried to come back.

And Russell, while still around, lost his leadership of the Bullies clique due to his deterorated mental condition, after Jimmy's arrest and subquent jailing.  He is now not much more than a trained monkey.  Trent assumed the leadership of that clique before the NES story began.

The clique leaders who remain are Derby (Preps) and Ted (Jocks).....We have also 'grown-up' a couple of the girls, Karen and Gloria.  Remaining are Christy, Mandy, Pinky, and Zoe (who came back to school after having quit a second time)....Gone is Beatrice, who went off to a med-prep school.  Not so sure about Angie and Eunice.

Title: Re: NES Questions
Post by: Mike_W on July 24, 2010, 02:30:40 PM
Maybe with Tony looking to hide out in town the cliques will blame each other for his "escape".  With Christy's rumor about Tony, maybe the clques will get into some heated argument over who they think was negligent in letting him run away, causing them to fight it out.
Title: Re: NES Questions

Ok I need some info on NES so I can contribute myself. During Piff-the-Skull saga I read it a bit, but since new chapters were made (btw, what's the current chapter?) I didn't. So I need to know what characters are new, who is missing, why are they missing, and generally what's happening in NES now. Because I feel like having to write some stories when my own character from a sub-story was included in the main story.
Title: Re: NES Questions
Post by: BloodChuckZ on September 10, 2010, 02:53:43 AM
We are at the starting segment of Chapter Three.

Characters who left Bullworth before the start of the NES Story.....

Beatrice
Earnest
Johnny
Gary
Edgar

Characters who left Bullworth during the NES Story.....

Pete
Algie
Lola
Big Darrell

Characters Jailed......

Alfred (Still in Jail)
Jimmy (escaped)

New Characters.....

Laurent
Jake
Kurt
Benny
Tibo
Jero
Bonz
Grungy
Steve
Eddie
Geoff
Nick

Changes in Clique leaders......

Peanut took over the Greasers since Johnny left Bullworth.
Melvin took over the Nerds since Earnest was sent to sex-reform clinic.
Trent took over the Bullies since Russell went sorta crazy, but Russell is still in the story.

Chuck, I gotta tell you something ! In the part you wrote, where Tony asks the French Chef to drive him and Lola to a station (I was actually reading it to get along) you made him say "Mon Du"... I wondered a lot about that, and enjoyed your effort to write a part in French to make it more real, but actually, the translation of "My God !" is... "Mon Dieu !". All right ? Let's correct this thing, I'll be writing soon !

OK, I admit my French sucks...I know about enough of it as I do Eskimo, whch is zip.

Thanks for the tip, I will make corrections right away....!

Helpful if you could supply a list of French phrases (and what they mean) for future reference....?

Repo....Only Kurt, Tibo, Benny, Jero, Bonz, Grungy are from the Rockers Clique.

Also Idea.....Nick should fight Derby in the ring, at the boxing gym....With, as before, the prize being the Beach house.  When Nick wins, Tony & company can use it as a base of operations.....

Just thinking that the Preps would never stoop to fighting in a dirty, sewer-stinking pit like 'The Hole'...

Beatrice left to go to a GOOD school before the story.
Earnest was sent to a sex-addiction clinic before the story
Johnny left to go to school in Detroit before the story.
Lola went to Detroit for good to be with Johnny Vincent..
Algie got whacked out and was locked away at the Asylum.
Pete was shot and was airlifted to a hospital in Capitol City.
Gary and Edgar were killed during the summer before the story.

**None of these characters will return to the story, with the possible exception of Algie (maybe).

I was working up the next comedy act today during English class, lol, yeah, I know I should have been doing other things.  Anyways, it has to do with Jake and a small jump-start to pitting the cliques against each other.  In short it involves Trent, Cornelius, and some incriminating photographs.  I just have to fine tune it before I "put it on paper".

English class ! There was a test with an image taken from the movie The Birds, by Alfred Hitchcock. After answering several questions, I had an exercise of creative writing, like "Imagine what happened before this scene...". I imagined a guy called Ace Adams, living in an old abandoned mansion, taking his revenge on the townsfolk by releasing aggressive birds he let growing in his attic. A lot of descriptions, a little bit of action... The teacher loved it.

What were the shootings? If I remember well, the bombings were those stink bomb attacks by Algie a.k.a. Piff the Skull.
Title: Re: NES Questions
Post by: BloodChuckZ on October 02, 2010, 09:57:23 AM
The shootings are what will be referred to in Bullworth Lore as "The Great Clique War Of Christmas Eve", where Pete was shot in the eye by an Air Rifle with a pellet the went into his brain. Tony and Constantinos were also slightly injured in the shootings.

Several of the Clique members were also shot by each other, but suffered little or no damage, due to the heavy coats they had on that night.

All this was at the ending senerio to Chapter 2.....

The bombings were the explosions at 7 different locations set off by Jake in the ending senario to Chapter 1.
Title: Re: NES Questions

No, Algie attacked every Clique (except the Rockers), but didn't bomb them.  Jake got gunpowder and made it into bombs and set them off at the school Halloween night.

No, Algie attacked every Clique (except the Rockers), but didn't bomb them.  Jake got gunpowder and made it into bombs and set them off at the school Halloween night.

I was referring to stink bombs. You know, bombing, stink bombs, it's kinda similar.
Title: Re: NES Questions
Post by: BloodChuckZ on October 02, 2010, 01:20:29 PM
Oh, yeah, he stink bombed them all right, then he shot them with other weapons also....But it wasn't like a battle royale with all the Cliques involved at once...Algie just bushwhacked them.

Actually, Mercury came up with the Idea, and I just followed through.

Jake's bombings, though, caused a lot of destruction and mass confusion.  It made for a big ending, so that's where we came up with the Idea for chapters.

Got a grain of an Idea what the end of Chapter 3 should be....But all depends on how the story goes.....Foe sure though, Jake (our REAL bad boy) will be involved in it.

Your HS ever have Valentine's Day dances or parties, Mike ?
Title: Re: NES Questions
Post by: Mike_W on October 02, 2010, 01:51:51 PM
Not exactly.  There was Homecoming in either late September or early October, then there was "Winter Carnival" in January, and finally Prom in May (for Juniors and Seniors).  So I guess Winter Carnival was the closest we had to a Valentine's day dance.

Boy, that sucked, Didn't it ?  My HS was always having dances and shit, although the only one I went to was senior prom.

Title: Re: NES Questions
Post by: BloodChuckZ on October 03, 2010, 04:13:07 AM
We could use both.....The auditorium and the great hall (as you enter the front of the school), have them decorated with Valentine stuff, etc....Little bit bigger staging area for fights, or whatever will happen....Alter the lighting, add some tables around the walls (for punch bowls & stuff)....We've not done full mayhem in the school proper yet, just the concert thing....Think of the Cliques fighting themselves and each other, spilling over to the hallways, bathrooms, classrooms even....fighting bursting right outside the front door in that large area there.....

OK....I put in a starting discription in for the party / dance for set-up pourposes, because of what Jake is planning to do to sabatoge the event.  Fine descriptions can be added later.

How close are we to the party? I assume the story time is very close to Valentine's day at this time.

Just a few days away.  I still got to do some set-up on Jake's plan to sabotage the party / dance, and finish up the divisions in the Cliques.

There is quite a bath comming.....

Good Start on Chapter 4 Mike.....

One question....Since no one has, or is allowed to have, cell phones in Bullworth (due to inability to get signals out due to mountains and the lack of any cell towers), how does Tom 'Call' Troy ?

Hardly anyone has phones (except adults), no students do, and internet access is restricted. This was already eastblished earlier in the story.

Also, Alfred was replaced, it was far back, and I don't remember if Mercury gave him a name.

I'll have to go edit that, I meant to say that he called him via walkie talkie, but I must have forgot to add it.  As for the replacement of Alfred, I'll fix that as well.
Title: Re: NES Questions
Post by: BloodChuckZ on November 17, 2010, 10:41:59 PM
I don't remember the name of the guy, it was some time after Alfred was arrested, so first half of Chapter 2, perhaps.

As for walkie-talkies....How did the Bullies get those ?  The only ones we are aware of are the ones the Nerds had.
Title: Re: NES Questions
Post by: Mike_W on November 17, 2010, 10:43:35 PM
I went back and made necessary changes.  I'm not sure about the walkie talkies, maybe that could be explained in the next post.  I just figured that it would be a simple enough item that most kids would be able to obtain.

Don't know why it wasn't thought of before.  People over here rob places by just saying they have weapons when they don't.

Are the Cops gonna be on the lookout for these two dumbasses ?  Be funny if they got busted for armed robbery.

I guess so.  We should probably try to make sure they stay out of view of the police.  However, they are dumb, so who knows....

His shop is, uh... How you say... Clandestine ? Behind an actual Shop, if I remember.

A few Greasers had led Tony and his two friends to the so-called shop that Steve was running. Of course, he wasn't legally allowed to own a trade, so he was installed in the back of an home appliances shop. After communicating the password to the owner, he opened the backdoor to find his friend sitting on a couch. Steve recognized them instantly, and after greeting them, listened to Tony for a moment, trying to understand what his friend exactly needed.

"This, the Greaser said putting his hand on a bike, is a creation of mine."
"What is special in it ?"
"It looks like a mountain bike, but... With another seat at the back, and new speeds."

The three boys looked at each others. The deal was done.

"I let you go with fifteen each. Okay, Tony ?"
"Ten, maybe ?" the kid answered with a wink.
"You can't understand how much I worked for this !"
"Twelve." Tony said, slamming twenty-four dollars on the homemade counter.
"You'll kill me Tony, and you know it."
"Not when I need you, Steve !"

The Greaser opened the heavy metal door, allowing the two bikes to roll out.

"Hey, guys ! Keep in touch, right ?"

- Made up by Greasers.
- Made up by Nerds.
- Stolen...

Russell for sure.  All Nick would have to do to defeat a Nerd would be to rip-up a G&G card and they would piss their pants and surrender on the spot. :p

OK, will save a spot for a Nick/Bif fight for later in Chapter 5.  Will give Nick a rest until then, as he has been quite busy this Chapter.

Word count is now 237,000 for the story at this point.
Title: Re: NES Questions
Post by: Repo Man on December 30, 2010, 12:24:49 PM
Bif Taylor...worthy opponent but let's not forget Nick has already fought Derby before, so he already taught Preps a lesson. However he didn't fight Rockers, so whoever is the strongest Rocker (I don't know them) can fight Nick in Chapter 5. Which is the last, if we don't count the "Endless Summer", I assume?
Title: Re: NES Questions
Post by: BloodChuckZ on December 30, 2010, 12:48:57 PM
True that he has already fought the Preps as a boss fight.  I only brought up Bif because of your previous comments as to having Nick fight him.  A fight with Kurt is possible, if you would rather, for later in Chapter 5.

Kurt is a character introduced in Chapter 1 by a kid named Dudeman who is no longer here.  He attempted to make Kurt a badass even worse than Jake, and his writing style was real sloppy.  After he was gone, we retained the Kurt character (and the Rockers) only because they were already in the story, and softened his character somewhat, also provided a mystery as to why he and the Rockers are even at Bullworth at all.  That mystery will be pivotal to the final outcome.

Chapter 5 will be the last.  I'll start a separate thread for Endless Summer after that, if anyone wants to carry on Tony's Story there.

Jesus Christ! When you ask a question as vaguely as you do sometimes it can be difficult to understand exactly what you are referring to. Most of the time we talk about fights in the hole around here, so that was what I assumed you meant. To answer your question, yes, I think Mercury is correct, Tony has been involved in fights before.

Using the old Hobo's yard for Nick's training of the weaker students is a good Idea.  The place hasn't been used for anything since Jake hid out there.

Other Non-Cliques that we haven't mentioned much (or at all) in the game include Gordon, Ivan, Trevor, and even Pedro.  They could all benefit from Nick's teachings.

Still recovering from injuries are Lance and Ray.  I'm going to slot Lance in with the Jocks for his protection.  Ray will not be coming back until Chapter 5, and could be trained then.  I got plans to fit them both into the storylines then.

I've already thought of (and wrote on paper) a dialogue between Nick and Fatty, so he can also join as he's probably willing to learn to fight, seeing as he's in wrestling class. Nick will charge every training $5, to all but Pedro (Nick isn't charitable enough to do it for free).

We are now moving towards the end of Chapter 4....I have two rather large segments to write....The Preps attack on the Rockers, and Jake & The Townies attack on the school. My question would be, is there any other side missions that anyone would like to finish before we get to thoes events ?

There will be a short break between the two I mentioned above, and I plan on running Zoe & Jimmy's break-in con-current with the Preps attack.

OK, the first part is complete.  If you have any side missions, keep in mind the Preps are sidelined for quite a while.  With just a week to go (in story time) until the big attack and the conclusion to Chapter 4, the question will be....Who will be the heros and who will be the goats ?

Plenty of upcoming action, and maybe even some surprises are in store.....

Great having them wind up in Karen's panty drawer.  Even I didn't know what was in there !
Title: Never Ending Story Question?..
Post by: Evolution on January 13, 2012, 04:07:34 AM
Well, I just started reading the NES, And I'm up to page 4. And since it is finished, I was wondering if their is ever going to be something like that again?

Maybe when Mercury returns or something?

Maybe do a whole new story and not make it so predictable and fictional, It is not predictable so far but it was predicable that Jake would turn bad. I mean Jake killing const? Are you kidding me? And driving a car :o lol
Title: Re: Never Ending Story Question?..
Post by: BloodChuckZ on January 13, 2012, 05:45:04 AM
Well, it isn't finished....Yet.  There will be a couple more pages to go.  I work on it when I have time.  It's closed off because I'm drawing the plot threads together for the conclusion.  At the end it will be in the area of 400,000 words.

There will be an after...Sort of a Never Ending Summer.  But, If you would like to start your own story, feel free to do so, here in this section.  Several others have tried, but went nowhere after a while.  I've been working on the NES since late 2009.  As you can see, the first chapter is rather chaotic, and I have re-written it, along with parts of chapter 2.  Anyway, it gets better from there.

Thanks for reading.  I think it's a good story, all in all.  Although I have written many short stories, this is my first long story attempt.  It's quite different as we had many authors to start with.  Some of the things I wouldn't have brought into the story, but I didn't really get serious about it until I wrote the end of the first chapter.  Then I could see it had possibilities to become much more.

Edit....Constantinos isn't dead.  Just a spoiler.
Title: Re: Never Ending Story Question?..

Thanks for spoiling it for me -_-

But to be honest, I cant be shitted to start my own NES. Because it will get absolutely no where.

What would be the point of a "Never Ending Summer story" ?

Would it be like an after-math?

I did a Lucky story but that was to long, so I sort of quit story writing, lol. I would probably join in though if people where forced to read it xD

So, would their ever be another similar thing to the NES is my question?..

Chuck, did you plan your story before, or is it all improvised as you go?
Title: Re: NES Questions
Post by: BloodChuckZ on January 31, 2012, 06:20:30 PM
Mercury actually started the story in Fall 2009.  I came in on page 3.  At first, about everything was improvised.  The first 'planned' piece on my part was the Halloween Bombings to end Chapter 1.  So, how to top that ?  From then on, all the Chapter ending were given planned 'dramatic' endings (The Clique War, The Valentine Bloodbath [borrowed in part from 'Carrie'], The Townie Attack, and the upcoming Final Showdown).

Several people contributed to the story early on (which is why Chapter 1 is such a mess - I have edited that and added appx. 6,000 words on my edited copy [not yet posted here] that gives greater continuity to the chapter, likewise Chapter 2 has an edited 2,000 words added).  Participated fell off by Chapter 3 to just three of us, basically myself, Mercury, & Mike.  Several story threads were introduced in the first 3 chapters which I am attempting to bring to resolution by the end of the story.

Some of the new characters it was not my idea to bring in....Notably Kurt....but I have worked stories around them.  The characters of Johnny, Beatrice, and Earnest were written out of the the story at the start (not by me....I did send Lola away, however).  I brought in the character of Nick from another story at the start of Chapter 3 to give Tony some 'backup muscle', and because I liked the character.  Laurent was brought in by Mercury at the start.  (I also brought in 'Bob' as kind of a counteract to Russell, who was sent away early but brought back).

It wasn't my intention to have Jake flee the school so permanently, at first, but after the bombings I knew I couldn't bring him back as a regular student.  It worked out though, for he has been able to wreak more havoc from without than within.  His time, and ultimate defeat, will be the climax of Chapter 5.

In Chapter 2, it became obvious to me that a timeline had to be established and the main plot lines had to be somewhat planned, and the overriding plot line became the corruption of Bullworth and the Vale Valley.  Much of the smaller stuff is on the fly (for example, I didn't really plan on putting Kurt and Pinky together, it just sorta happened, Stockholm Syndrome -like).  My main task is to now bring all the plot lines together to a conclusion, so no more new plots are going to be written.  And yes, I plan on resolving the plotlines of Kurt, Damon, Algie, and Lance.

So, I guess the answer would be....It's a bit of both.

Interesting...

My other question is, since I came to the story a bit late, I didn't catch what Derby is asking from Kurt. What are those papers he has to sign for? I know Mr. Smith is in it to avenge Gary.
Title: Re: NES Questions
Post by: BloodChuckZ on January 31, 2012, 07:07:29 PM
Those were letters to his Clique, to Pinky, and Dr. Crabblesnitch, saying he was leaving school and the Bullworth area forever.

Mr. Smith is doing it because he is somehow (not explained) in debt to the Harrington family, and because he doesn't want it to become known (outside of those few who do know) that Jake is his other grandson (by his daughter).  The fate of both Mr. Smith's son and daughter is not told, but is implied that they are in prison.

As you know, Mr. Smith is continually talking about how he built his 'Empire', meaning here the Vale Valley (he was an early business developer).  He retired, intending his son to take over, but the son failed him.  Mr. Smith then banked everything on his grandson, Gary....But now, Gary is dead, and his other less-than-desirable grandson, Jake, has been on the rampage.

Mr. Smith's life sucks, but he is no killer. He's been ashamed of what Jake has done, and has been a less-than-willing participant in Kurt's abduction, and was secretly horrified at the lengths that Derby was going to, fearing that Derby's actions would result in killing Kurt.  He convinced Derby to do it his way, i.e beat Kurt into submission [aka, how it was done in the novel '1984'], and to let him go when he broke and gave in to Derby's demands.

Derby is no dummy.  He doesn't expect Kurt will just blow town.  Soon, it will be revealed how Derby insures that Kurt....Well, no spoiler here.  you'll have to keep reading.

Chuck, how much more is in store for the school year? I had sort of a good idea for a sort of continuation of the story...like, after the students graduate.

Cute !  Actually, only one is going to graduate.  The rest will fail to do so because of all the missed class time over the prior two years.

Next up will be "Endless Summer"......And all the kids get to go to summer school to make up lost credits !!

I'll have to run my ideas by you and see what you think. Sort of Like a GTA meets CSI with Bully and GTA characters thrown in the mix. A story about Tony and his friends once they're out of school and surrounding their adult lives.

Well, it's not a question...more like an issue. I noticed this part of the story: "Bob SMASH bomber!" as well as his other quote.

Why'd you make Bob like some dumb bruiser? He's actually the smartest jock (and probably the nicest one, too) if you listen to his audio files.

P.S. You also might notice I made an edit. I just corrected the spelling for "whimp". Lol.
Title: Re: NES Questions
Post by: BloodChuckZ on May 19, 2012, 07:28:54 PM
I've never heard his audio files.  Since he was a deleted character, I just brought him in as part of the storyline to make Russell back down and also to strengthen the Jocks more.  And though his limited NES dialogue may make him appear to be a 'Dumb Jock', there's a lot more cookin' in that ole noggin of his than anybody really suspects.

Note that Ted placed him as second-in-command earlier in the chapter.

Also, I liked his size, and decided to make him a giant for the story, sort of a more intimidating presence.

Planning on a Clique of Girls coming in from Reform School, and I need names.  I might...might be open to using some of the Girls' names on site here, but I would need your permission to do so.  Maybe, just the first letter of the name would be better ?

Anyhoo, suggestions would be welcome.

The new Girl Clique members will be....

(blacks) Shideed**, Ladonna*, Whitney, Katrina,  + (white) Tess, Carla, Tiffany, Hayley.

**clique leader  *Second-in-command

The Clique is still unnamed, thinking the “Reform Clique”

Others will be specific targeted Clique girls.....

(Prep) Vanessa,  (Jock) Paige,  (Greaser) Binky,  (Nerd) Jimmette,  (Bully) Sloane.

Unattached Non-Cliques.......

Hannah, Claire, Joan, Jessica, Nina, Amber, Misty.

Have fleshed out a few of the personalities, particularly the Clique ones.  But will take suggestions on the Non-Clique girls.

Jimmette & Binky have already been introduced.

The Bullworth NES has now passed 25,000 views, a milestone of sorts.  I have noticed a large rise in the 'readership' since the finish of the main story body last July (from 22K to 25K)......

Now, since there are a limited number of us here, even fewer that have been following the story, that means the bulk of the 'hits' have come from the outside, via the 'guests'.

My question would be directed towards those Guests.  In these times when we have those who take the time & trouble to actually join the site but never post, perhaps some guests who read this could do likewise, just join up for the purpose of leaving a comment here on the story, and why in particular they are following it, how they like the characters, etc.

In any event, I'd like to thank all that do read and follow the NES, even if I never hear from you.

^ Well, that bombed out.  I do wonder if anyone here is still following the story ?  The view hits now outnumber my post count, and are fast rising to 26,000.

The stage is being set for a tense, exciting event that will involve Tony and those near and dear to him.  I have slowed down the rate of the story, due to RL things I had to get done.  But, I'm gonna try to pick up the pace soon.

Right at this point, being the hero of the school and all, 100% with all, with the possible exception of the Preps (mainly Tad, who is now the leader), who only give respect because they have to.

Yes, there will be several happenings after the rescue, since really the characters are only halfway through the summer.  It will mostly focus on clearing up leftover story issues like the Coach Sanders thing, Pinky's dilemma, the Constantinos / Tiffany affair, construction of the Boy's Dorm second floor and the repair of the School's third floor, bringing Algie back to the school, Johnny and Lola's future plans, the resolution of Mr. Galloway & Ms. Phillips and the control of the school, what happens to Bethany Jones, What becomes of Derby, the start of the trial of Mr. Harrington, and the mysterious connections of Mr. Riddle.  But the central focus will be Tony's crafting of an agreement (a Contract) between the Cliques for the coming school year....And, of course, how Karen and particularly Melody deal with the aftermath of their captivity.

Down to the nitty-gritty, Tony, his friends, and a mixed bag of Cliques are about to take it to the Townies in the heart of their not-so-secret lair.  But how did this place come to be ?  Oh, the long-ago construction of the three levels has been explained....But why such an intricate layout for the third level ?

When I went looking for some round design for such a level, back when the kidnapping took place, about the only suitable image I found was the one you see above.  It actually is the layout of a "China Round House"....I didn't stop to look up the information about them at the time, but did so way later.  They are some fascinating structures.  Think round, multi-story apartments, with a common courtyard in the middle.  People have their residences in the outer circle, and the 'Porches' for each level wrap clear around inside.  They were more perceived as fortresses than houses.

There are various structures that can be put into the 'Courtyard' areas of these places....That is why you see things inside.  What I did was build the whole story of the underground Chem Plant levels around this image above (and the tunnel system under Blue Skies that followed later).   I could find no compatible images for the other 2 levels, so those are left to the reader's imagination. I did however, bisect level 2 with the Animal Testing Lab, particularly for the tale of the attempted escape of Karen and Melody.

This particular 'China Round House' apparently incorporated 1-story concretic structures in their Courtyard.  Keeping in mind that you could stand on the upper inner balconies and look down on these structures (and in fact I found one actual picture that shows just that).  So, what I did was, make the outer balcony ring into the outer hallway for the story's purpose.  What looks like a wide hallway at the right side is what gave me the Idea to incorporate the 'Steel Doors' at the end, for the secret movement of the banned Chemical Weapons out of the lower levels of the Chem Plant, and thus I had to create a series of tunnels that would lead to Spencer Warehouse.  While I was at it, I made most of the tunnel system older, and had them go to the various other industries as well....Which would help explain just why there is not a lot of material being moved around on the surface in Blue Skies...It's moved underground.

The open areas to the right I thought should have to be something, So I placed a Lunchroom (Cafeteria)  to the top of the big Hallway, and the Kitchen (including a cafeteria-style line) to the bottom of the big Hallway.  And in the center, I placed the Recreation Room, for every place where personall have to work in a confined area (in this case the Scientists) and aren't allowed to leave should have one of those.  It is the place where the Townies will make their last stand.

The Image is upside-down from the way it should be....South is at the top, and North is at the bottom.  That was made necessary because of the placement of the Steel Doors to line up with the underground tunnels.  Sorta couldn't help that.  The wrap-around stairway that Tony and Nick go down is located at the top and feeds into the alcove and then the smaller straight hallway there....{Karen and Melody were initially held in the 8th room to the left of the stairs}.  These stairs do not go clear up to the first level, they only go from the third level to the second level....An identical set of wraparound stairs, a few yards away on the second level, goes from the second level to the first level.  This was made necessary so that Karen and Melody would only escape as far as the second level (and the Lab) in their attempt.

The smaller hallway at the bottom goes to the 'Escape Tunnel' that leads underground down into a gorge, where the river from the Towns flows out towards the Ocean, and the small dock that is there.  This is where Jerry parked the 'escape boat' he stole earlier.  These will play a role in the final rescue, so stay tuned.

All in all, a lot of Chapter 8 came from this one image.  Imagine that.

Another 20k words or so should bring us to the end, I think....At about page 82-84 somewhere, maybe.
General issues left to resolve are these........

Fight between Greasers & Preps.
Tony squares off with Tad in ring.
Call for Algie to return to Nerds.
Ricky and Jessica get it on.
Jessica goes to stay with Greasers.
Beatrice leaves school.
Classes end for Summer.
Constantinos, Tiffany resoultion.
Lola has her singing debut at Blue Balls.
Coach Sanders gets caught & fired.
Tony, Nick, see the Monks again.
Tony, Karen take vacation.
Labor day, new school year.
Epilogue.

Plus two parts I'm holding secret for the end...Kickers, you might say.
Clint Henry will be a part of one of them.
