Title: Introducing the Skaters
Post by: -мα∂нαттяι¢к- on March 19, 2012, 08:44:28 PM
I created a new clique for Bully: The Skaters. In this post I will introduce all the characters. Later I will create a video series on their rise. Sorry if this post is a little messy, I'm doing the best i can.
The leader of the skaters is Andy Bishop. He's the best skateboarder in Bullworth, and a good leader. He generally stays calm, but when he gets mad,he gets really mad.
(http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/hh481/bullymodster/NifSkope2012-03-1918-30-20-49.jpg) (http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/hh481/bullymodster/Bully2012-03-1918-39-28-99.jpg)

The 2nd in command is Anthony Cole.
(http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/hh481/bullymodster/NifSkope2012-03-1813-11-21-27.jpg) (http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/hh481/bullymodster/Bully2012-03-1817-27-00-82.jpg)

Eric Bishop is Andy Bishop's younger brother. He follows his brother loyally, but is secretly jealous of him.
(http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/hh481/bullymodster/NifSkope2012-03-1823-45-11-29.jpg)  (http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/hh481/bullymodster/Bully2012-03-1913-24-48-17.jpg)

Chris Valley just moved to Bullworth, and was immediately accepted into the skaters clique, because he is almost as good as Andy at skateboarding.
(http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/hh481/bullymodster/NifSkope2012-03-1817-29-20-47.jpg) (http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/hh481/bullymodster/Bully2012-03-1817-41-16-81.jpg)

Bailey Peterson is the girl of the group. She's a bit of a tomboy, and she's not a great skater. She's always causing trouble between the others in the clique.
(http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/hh481/bullymodster/NifSkope2012-03-1915-27-09-84.jpg) (http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/hh481/bullymodster/Bully2012-03-1917-41-44-56.jpg)

Marcus Hall has the lowest status in the clique. He's not a very good skater, but is very willing to learn.

I thought about this before making the NCS gang and I even gave them skateboards through the pedstats but every time they started skating, the game crashed after 5 seconds of skating.

You may of edited it wrongly.
Hope you had a backup.

Also these models really do look new, you wouldn't think they were from Bully in the first place. :D
Which characters did you retexture?

Thanks! One way I made them look different was to change their ethnicity. I did that for 3 of the characters.
Andy Bishop: Leon
Anthony Cole: Jerry Gym
Chris Valley: Gurney Gym
Eric Bishop: Duncan winter
Bailey Peterson: Rich Barber
Marcus Hall: Edgar

OK here it is. From this link go to the skaters folder, and download all of these, delete the previous versions of these in world.img ( using imgtool) and add these in. From ide.img you will have to put into freeroam gurney_gs, jerry_gs, edgar, and TO_barberrich. If you don't know how to do any of these things, please message me. Its ahrd to give you files from world.img since the whole file is too big too upload. If there are any problems with the link tell me, and enjoy!

@ BullyModder123 (http://bully-board.com/index.php?action=profile;u=12852)

How about we just create patches instead that can be distributed that holds only the changed data of world.img and just distribute that?

I can show you how to make patches since I have coded my own special patching system for use with bully mods such as that. This will be a easier way to distribute mods that change more then one file and have a simple easy way to install that anyone can follow.

The only catch to this is....you have to have a stock unmodded version of bully to build the patch from and the person downloading the patch has to apply it to a stock unmodded version of bully. I don't know of any other simple way to do this.

I can host files of any size on my server but even with the special deal I have with my isp....I have this feeling that the server bandwidth will kill me eventually since I use around 400gb of bandwidth a month as it is and thats a lot.

I do plan however on purchasing hosting through a hosting company that I am on extremely good terms with considering that their service is the best out there that I personally have used. I may just do that eventually but I have to see where things are going since for their top account which is unlimited everything....and a full dedicated server by itself is $149 a year which is pretty good considering what you get. Might see if everyone would be willing to band together to possibly share costs for that since if we start uploading large files to the downloads section here on the forum, it might end up causing instability with the database since I have a feeling this forum uses a mysql database which does have some limits on sizes and such and a database thats too large will make keeping regular forum backups next to impossible unless you have a large amount of space to devote to just that. Plus I have no idea how much storage and bandwidth is allowed for this forum ....might have to talk to AJ or Jared about this one.
