is he really a sociopath or just a sad misunderstood character due to his lack of friends

Thats what pops up when I looked it up lol, Actually that describes me in a lot of ways. But yea, I think Gary does what he does because he wants too. He has a lack of friends simply because he wants to. Or I could be wrong, and you may be right. Take into consideration though, he had Pete, and Jimmy, but we all seen how that turned out.

He used and belittled his 'friends', which certainly doesn't lead to the conclusion he really wanted any friends.
Just a user and a megalomaniac.

He wanted to take over the school and would do anything to make that happen. Even stabbing his only friends in the back in the process.
Gary lacked any empathy and fits well in the description of a sociopath.
