Can I copy Bully from my PS3 to my PC?
« on: July 24, 2014, 08:58:51 AM »
Hi guys, I'm trying to find a way to mod the PS3 port of Bully. In order to do that, I must first somehow burn the files to a disc or copy them to a USB. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Quick update: I now know how to export the files via USB, so I'm now clear on that.

The files have showed up as SFO and VME files. I've got them in a picture here.

I'm not sure how to open them or what to do with them. Can I have some help? Thanks.

EDIT: Got both files open with Notepad; probably not the best idea. :P
This is one of the VME files:

Another update! I've used a proper file opener and found this, which looks like a hex editing thing, although it's not what I want, as it's not an IMG file. :(

Nice finds.
I haven't seen anyone successfully  mod the ps3 version of bully so info on opening it's files is something you probably have to figure out on your own.

Yeah, probably, but thanks anyway. I may have to try and re-download Bully onto my PC, copy World.IMG and other critical files, mod them, and place them into the PS3 folder on my USB, before putting them on the PS3 itself. How I'm going to attempt to install the super mod onto the PS3 is a different story entirely. :P

Well, PC Bully is also a different story, since The PC version uses an Xbox 360 Controller if you want to us one. How PS3 Dualshock controller will work, I don't know? Since they both run off different things.

Yeah, and, considering the PS3 edition is just a port of the PS2 edition, it still runs on Renderware, for hell's sake!

Renderware files are a bitch, I did once manage to get some audio tracks from Renderware files, I can't remember how though.

Indeed. I remember trying to mod Premier Manager 06-07. It was really bloody hard.
