Introduce Yourself / I guess I should post here...
« on: April 14, 2008, 06:14:14 PM »
Well, I'm back.

I stumbled onto this in my favorites and it made me smile when I saw everybody was still posting.

Anyways, in light of GTA IV being released soon, I thought I'd stop by and check out how the old place was doing.

Bully 1 Discussion / Anybody else thought about...
« on: February 19, 2007, 11:04:48 PM »
Bully Online?

This may be a question, but it's more appropriate for this since it's not about in-game stuff.

I mean, it all makes sense. You make your own person, give him/her clothing, and head off into Bullworth and the surrounding town. The mods/admins could be prefects and cops, stopping you if you cause "too much" trouble.

Wouldn't that be cool?

Hints, Tips and Cheats / I have REAL CHEATS!
« on: January 25, 2007, 10:41:10 PM »
Alright, for these you need two controllers. You enter the cheats on the second controller.

By the way, they work on both versions of the game (PAL and NTSC), so don't say I'm wrong. You're just retarded.

You hold L1 for all the cheats except for the clothes one.

L1, L1, R1, L1, L1, L1, R1, R1 is for all clothes

Up, Left, Down, Down, Triangle, Square, X, X is for all the gym grapple moves (not shown in stats)

UP, Left, Down, Right, Triangle, Square, X, Circle gets you all of the Hobo's fighting moves (not shown in stats)

R2, R2, R2 refills your health

Up, Up, Up, Up gives you all of the weapons

Up, Down, Up, Down gives you infinite ammo

Triangle, Square, Circle, X gets you a lot of money

Up, Up refills your ammo

The only one that I'm not sure about is the infinite ammo one. I tried it the first time and it worked but it hasn't worked since. Can someone get me confirmation?

Oh, and sorry if this has been posted.

Bully 1 Discussion / Legend: The Chronicles of Nathan
« on: December 01, 2006, 08:57:39 PM »
This is my fan-fic following a made-up Greaser and his second year at Bullworth. Leave constructive criticisms, please.

Chapter 1: Business at Bullworth
Nathan pressed his forehead up against the car window, staring at the massive school of Bullworth Academy. He sighed and looked back at the dashboard of his father’s truck. “I know you don’t like it here, son,” his father said, turning to him. “What made you think that?” Nathan replied sarcastically. His father was silent. After their neighbor’s house was blown up in Vice City, Nathan’s dad moved them to Bullworth for safety reasons. Suddenly, the truck screeched to a halt. “Well, here we are,” his dad said. Nate opened the door and stepped out with his knapsack. His father waved good-bye to him, but Nate walked through the school gates without turning back.

“Yo, Nate!” A voice called out. Nathan turned to the direction of the voice. It was Hal. “Hey, big man. Whatsup?” Nate said, pounding fists with his large friend. “Nothin’ much. Just got here a few hours ago,” Hal said. “Where’s Johnny?” Nate asked. “He’s at the Boys’ Dorm with Peanut and Norton, waitin’ on you,” Hal replied as they made their way to the dorm. They noticed an African American boy and a white boy passing a football around. “Man, those guys are meatheads,” Nate said. Ted, the white one, had gotten Nate and himself suspended for starting a fight. They walked into the Boys’ Dorm, where they heard shouting and some ruckus. “What the hell?” Hal said as they both rushed into the den.

What they saw was complete mayhem. Norton was stomping a blonde haired kid, Peanut was stuffing a buzz cut boy into a trash can, and Johnny was mercilessly punching a kid with black hair. The kid eventually pushed Johnny off of him and had scrambled to his feet, tripping on his way out the door. The blonde haired kid had also made his way out the door during the struggle. “Yeah, you better run, bitch!” Johnny shouted after him, wiping blood from his nose. “Oh, hey Nate,” Johnny acknowledged, pounding fists with him. “Dude, what the hell happened in here?” Nate asked, eyeing Peanut laughing at the boy in the trash can. “Oh, you know, business at Bullworth,” Johnny said, scratching his mop of brown hair.

Bully 1 Discussion / Bully Mafia
« on: November 24, 2006, 11:48:27 AM »
One player is the "God" or "Overseer" of all the people. The majority of people are citizens, while some are mafia. The mafia can communicate with each other at night while citizens do so during the day, trying to figure out who is a mafioso and vote them out of the group. At night, the mafia communicate, then make a kill on a person. In the morning, the citizens try to find out who did it.

This game follows the same rules, but has different roles and powers:

Headmaster- Same as "God"
Student- Same as "Citizen"
Bullies- Same as "Mafioso"
Nerd- Nerds may PM the Headmaster and ask once at night about one person.
Prefect- The Prefect may PM the Headmaster during the night time and say the name of one person they believe is a Student. If that person was the target of the Bullies, they are instead saved.
Greaser- The Greaser is a lone-wolf type character. At night, they are allowed to make one attack on either side.
Prep- Because Preps are popular, they know who the other Preps are and can cover for each other.
Jock- Jocks have TWO lives.
Drop Out- Characters that are out

Generally, only Students, Bullies, and Nerds are good for first-time plays.

What do people think? Would anyone be willing to play?

Bully 1 Discussion / Bullworth Fightclub Season 1
« on: November 15, 2006, 02:57:03 PM »
1. This will be quite a few matches. Be prepared for a load of info.
2. Records will be taken of each character.
3. All I ask is that you keep track of your OWN points.
4. Winner will receive a custom sig by me.

A new system has been implemented to correctly determine a fighter's effectiveness in the ring. It's called the Power rating. The Power rating is a mix of the fighter's skill, morale, fatigue, and sheer ability to hurt their opponents. Naturally, a fighter with a higher power rating is better than a fighter with a lower power rating.

The next new rating is called the Teamwork rating. This measures fighters' effectiveness to fight together. This is done because someone like Earnest isn't going to team well with Ted. Therefore, their Teamwork rating is low.

The last new stat used is Respect. Everyone knows what Respect is and it works relatively the same in BFC. If a fighter has a high Respect from Cliques, he's more likely to get help from them in a fight. Whether it be through fear or sheer leadership is determined by the fighter themselves.

Here are the fighters for this season and their Power Ratings at this point

Jimmy- 80
Gary- 70
Petey- 55
Earnest- 60
Melvin- 60
Derby- 75
Bif- 80
Ted- 80
Damon- 75
Johnny- 75
Peanut- 70
Russell- 95
Edgar- 80
Mascot- 60
Pirate- 45

Bully 1 Discussion / The Cliques of Bully
« on: November 06, 2006, 01:10:02 PM »
Nerds
====
Leader: Earnest
Primary Weapons: Firecrackers, Stink Bombs, and Rulers/Yardsticks
Fighting Style: Slaps and shoves that do next to no damage, but fat Nerds will use a "belly bump" to knock their enemies over
Uniforms: Nerds wear green sweater vests, usually accompanied by high worn pants and glasses
Hangout: The Nerds hang out near the Library
Girl/Gay Guy: Beatrice/Cornelius
Varieties: Nerds come in two varieties. The first is the typical skinny weakling Nerd, who is of no threat whatsoever. The second are the larger Nerds, who seem to be just as weak but are more aggressive and put up more of a fight than their skinny comrades.
Behavior: Nerds are very brainy, so of course they will go to class, unlike some of the other Cliques. The Nerds do typical things in their free time (go to lunch, their lockers, etc.) but they are also one of the more noticeable Cliques to get into hallway scuffles because they are picked on so often.

Bullies
====
Leader: Russell
Primary Weapons: Anything they can find (although they tend to use bats)
Fighting Style: Bullies are aggressive fighters, combining brute strength with cheap shots and throwdown moves to win their battles
Uniforms: Bullies wear white button downs which are usually dirty or messy
Hangout: The Bullies are scattered throughout the school, anywhere they want to be, although they can regularly be found in the parking lot
Girl/Gay Guy: None/Trent
Varieties: Bullies come in two classes: normal and big. Normal Bullies are the ones you see loitering and picking on kids. There is ONE big Bully in the whole Clique, and that is Russell. It is extremely hard to grapple him or do damage short of using a weapon, so keep away from a fight with him whenever possible.
Behavior: Bullies can be seen skipping class, smoking, and generally being jerks. Eight out of ten times (yes, I counted), Bullies will harrass the first person in their line of sight and then attack them. Unlike other Cliques, Bullies are also the only ones who regularly attack Prefects.

Preps
====
Leader: Derby
Primary Weapons: Eggs
Fighting Style: Boxing, which consists of powerful punches, hard to break blocks, and sometimes bobs/weaves
Uniforms: Preps are signified by their Aquaberry vests (light blue square pattern sweaters)
Hangout: Harrington House
Girl/Gay Guy: Pinky/Gord (Thanks to Bully Nut)
Varieties: Preps come in two varieties: normal and big. The normal Preps are nothing special, and there is only one big Prep: Bif. He is harder to grapple, better at fighting, and a lot hardier than his friends.
Behavior: Preps are very uptight and snobbish, but they are not unlike normal kids. Some go to class, some don't. Some are aggressive, others not so much. Some of the Preps even smoke, but normally this is reserved for Bullies, Jocks, and Greasers. If you're wearing an Aquaberry sweater, the Preps accept you and will not be so mean to you all of the time. Other than that, there is not much to say about the psychology of the rich kids.

Greasers
======
Leader: Johnny
Primary Weapons: Metal pipes
Fighting Style: Greasers seem to have a very basic style of punch and block type maneuvers, but occasionally they'll do a shoulder tackle or something
Uniforms: Greasers wear jean/bomber jackets and have slicked back hairdos
Hangout: The Auto Shop
Girl/Gay Guy: Lola/Vance
Varieties: Greasers come in two varieties: normal and big. The normal Greasers are surprisingly strong and are definitely the most dangerous of the "normal" build among the Cliques. The big Greasers are brutes, hard to grapple and even harder to damage, coupled with the fact that they use "power" moves (shoulder tackles, bear hugs, etc.) a lot more often than normal Greasers makes them more dangerous.
Behavior: Greasers almost never go to class and you can usually see them loitering or smoking somewhere near the Auto shop. It's rare to see them randomly attack a student, but it does happen, albeit a lot less often than what Bullies do.

Jocks
====
Leader: Ted
Primary Weapons: Bats
Fighting Style: The Jocks use a mixture of the basic style, but they also use tackling/wrestling moves
Uniforms: The Jocks wear either blue sweaters with a big B on them or the Bullworth Varisty Jackets.
Hangout: The Gym/Football Field
Girl/Gay Guy: Mandy/Kirby (Thanks to Enforca)
Varieties: Jocks come in the most varieties with five different versions in their Clique. The first is by far the weakest, being the normal built kids wearing the blue sweaters. The second ones are the big guys wearing the Bullworth Varisty Jackets, probably the most dangerous as they are the most numerous. The third are the least seen (unless you're doing a mission or on the football field), which are the football players. These guys are all suited up in Bullhorn football uniforms. The only difference between these guys and normal built Jocks is the fact that they are better in a fight and tackle a hell of a lot more. Next we have the wrestlers. They use punches that do a lot of damage and they can usually knock you over in one hit. They can also execute a few slam moves, so break out of their grapples whenever possible. Finally, there's the Mascot. He is only seen a few times, but he is very powerful for a normal built character. Strong, quick, and using a Russell-esque charge attack, the Mascot is a force to be reckoned with. When Jimmy is wearing the suit, he can do a little dance to get out of trouble with enemies.
Behavior: Jocks, of course, are the rulers of the school. As such, they don't think they have to do what the other kids have to do. They don't go to class, they smoke, and they are jerks. Surprisingly, though, the Jocks rarely go farther than harassing other students. Usually, a fight will only start if the other student hits first.

Townies or "Drop Outs"
=================
Leader: Edgar
Primary Weapons: Pipes, bats, and boards
Fighting Style: A mix of the basic style and Hobo moves
Uniforms: The Townies aren't necessarily dressed the same as each other, although the usual apparel includes a tank top and baggy pants
Hangout: The whole map (excluding Bullworth)
Girl/Gay Guy: Zoe/? (He's wearing a white tank top, I know that much)
Varieties: Townies come in the normal build only, but they are definitely the strongest fighters of all the Cliques. One normal Townie is roughly the equivalent of a big Jock in a fight, being the older kids that they are.
Behavior: Townies don't follow the rules and of course don't have to go to class. They smoke more often than not, harass police/students in town, and tag the walls whenever possible. Townies can be seen stealing mopeds or bikes and even playing on the beach, which shows a loyal friendship side to them.

Bullworth Students
==============
Leader: None (Although an argument could be made that Jimmy is the leader)
Primary Weapons: None
Fighting Style: Basic style, nothing special
Uniforms: Green sweaters with an undershirt and khaki pants
Hangout: Anywhere
Girl/Gay Guy: Christy, Eunice, and Angie/?
Varieties: The Bullworth Student body comes in two sizes: normal and small. Normal kids are nothing special, but the little kids are something else entirely. Unique among these youngsters is the fact that if you pick on them, the Prefects will bust you. Also, they can tell a Prefect or a Teacher if you're doing naughty things. This will raise your trouble meter again. In perspective, it's easier for a little kid to get you busted rather than getting in a fight due to the fact that your fingers may slip and cause you to do a negative reaction on the little ones.
Behavior: These are the kids that aren't associated with the Cliques. More often than not, they are ignored by everyone but the Bullies, who pick fights with everyone. These kids are just trying to survive school. They go to their lockers to get their books, socialize with one another, and then they go to class. They're quite boring, but they're always your friends. They'll only pick a fight with you if they're provoked. These are also the kids that you'll most often see making out with girls.

Authority Figures
======
Leader: None
Primary Weapons: Authority!
Fighting Style: Grab in a headlock Bust maneuver, sometimes an instant takedown!
Uniforms: Teachers wear various clothing (although it's usually formal wear), Prefects wear blue jackets, and Police wear police uniforms
Hangout: Teachers and Prefects hang out at school, while the Police patrol everywhere (some can be seen around Bullworth, although they rarely come inside the school)
Girl/Gay Guy: None (Ms. Phillips, anyone? )
Varieties: They all come in one variety: adult. This means that they won't fight you, but rather they'll attempt to grab you so they can bust you.
Behavior: Although they have different jobs, all of the Authority figures are jerks and corrupt figures. They never have a nice conversation with Jimmy and see insults as another reason to bust you. All of them patrol their assigned areas, just waiting for someone to do something bad. When something bad DOES happen, the Authorities are all over the kid, abusing their power to manhandle and sometimes hurting the child in a takedown.

Bullworth Experiences / Got Owned?
« on: October 21, 2006, 01:49:02 PM »
Who's ever been owned in Bully before? Rate the Ownage on a scale of 1-10.

Well, here's one. I was taking on three Bullies. After defeating them all, I was running over to the soda machine when I bumped into a Nerd. I apologized, but then he hit me and I got knocked out.

Want to know the good part about photgraphy class? After completing Photgraphy 2, the Yearbook is opened up. Now, I was pretty bored, so I began getting pics for the Yearbook, not noticing in my guide if this gave me any unlockables or anything. Then, after getting everyone's pictures, I got a message telling me I unlocked the BLACK NINJA OUTFIT.

Note, for those who are confused at why they haven't unlocked it after trying this, I'll place a Spoiler within a Spoiler:

Zoe is also a student that counts for the Yearbook!

Anyways, the outfit allows you to escape Truancy, Trespassing, and Curfew!

Hints, Tips and Cheats / [Small Spoilers] Every Fighting Move
« on: October 17, 2006, 09:43:39 PM »
Well, this shouldn't be a big spoiler, but it's nice to let everyone know the moves they can learn

Jimmy's Style:
:squ: = Punch
:tri: = Grab
:l1: = Lock-On/Block
:l1: + :cir: = (After enemy health is near depleted) Humiliation Move

Jimmy has the most basic fighting style, although it's extremely effective after beefing yourself up. His punches and kicks aren't very strong, but his throws allow him to damage enmies. He can even throw enemies on the ground and hit them there!

Boxing Style:
:squ: = Punch
:l1: = Lock-On/Block

Well, you're probably asking yourself: Why use the boxing style? For one thing, it can do some MAJOR damage if you are skilled. Second, you don't need to grapple to do the powerful punches! Blocking at the right time will cause you to completely dodge the attack and allow you to follow up with your own, which can be extremely useful.

Wrestling Style:
:tri: + hold :squ: = Headbutt
:tri: + :squ: :squ: and hold :squ: = 2 hits, 1 sucker punch
-Takedown Moves-
:tri: + :cir: = Takedown
:x: = Dismount after Takedown
:tri: = Pick up after Takedown
:squ: + :squ: + :squ: = 3 hit combo after Takedown
:cir: = Knee attack after Takedown

The Wrestling style is my favorite. Using the Takedown moves can quickly end a fight if you're quick enough. However, the only problem is that you have to grapple your opponent for every move. This means that most of the guys bigger than Jimmy will have no problem shoving him off. This is why I reccomend boxing.

Hobo Moves:
Hold :squ: = Uppercut
:squ: + hold :squ: = Leg sweep
:squ: + :squ: + hold :squ: = Heavy kick
:squ: + :squ: + :squ: + :squ: + :squ:= 5 hit combo
:squ: + :squ: + :squ: + hold :squ: = Roundhouse kick
:squ: + :squ: + :squ: + :squ: + hold :squ: = Overhead smash

Out of all the styles, this one brings the flexibility factor into Jimmy's fighting style. As it is completely optional to learn the Hobo's moves (except for the Uppercut, it happens during a mission), you won't have to implement them into your customized array of moves at all. However, it would be nice to watch as you use a 5 hit combo, use a Takedown, then pummel your opponent with Knee kicks, don't you think?

And there, ladies and gentlemen, are the fighting moves of Bully.

Ok, so I headed into my EB Games today to check out the situation on Bully.

They had copies.

Lots of copies.

Now, they said: "Sorry, we're not allowed to sell these until tomorrow."

WTF!?

Why can't I get my copy NOW!?

Bully 1 Discussion / The Errands of Bully
« on: September 21, 2006, 03:10:07 PM »
The Errands of Bully- IGN

Helping out the community -- and getting paid in the process.

September 20, 2006 - Jimmy Hopkins has a whole year at Bullworth Academy ahead of him. As the seasons change, Jimmy will settle in and find his place at the school. He's supposed to attend a number of classes and will probably have to complete some punishment along the way. Jimmy will also try to complete more than 75 tasks for various characters at the Academy and in the surrounding town. There are plenty of mini-games for Jimmy to get involved with, places to explore, items to collect and people to interact with to keep him pretty busy. If Jimmy manages to find some spare time, there will be a steady stream of people who need errands done.

Of course, Jimmy is not a charity worker. Young Mr. Hopkins has cultivated a keen eye for opportunity and quite a head for business. While it's tempting to keep his head down, obey the rules and get on with work, it's a lot more interesting and profitable to take advantage of some of the opportunities that he's spotted. There is money to be made over the course of the school year, especially because the $50 that Jimmy's mother gave him when she abandoned him at the school gates won't last that long. Not when Jimmy needs to buy sodas, stink bombs, itching powder, new clothes or parts for his BMX.

Throughout the day and evenings, Jimmy will be approached by various fellow students and adults who will ask him to complete errands for them. It's not that Jimmy is taking advantage of other people and profiting from their misfortune -- think of it as providing a valuable service to the community.

Eggs-alent Payback
When a little girl called Karen comes up to Jimmy one evening with an idea, he instantly spots a potential to earn some fast cash. The girls' dorm has been egged a few times recently and Karen is convinced that the boys are responsible. She asks Jimmy to return the favor by egging the boys' dorm. Who could resist a sweet little girl's request, especially when there's $10 in it and the chance to have some fun making a mess of the school?

Crab Hunter
Mr. Martin runs a seafood restaurant in Old Bullworth Vale, and his customers seem very keen on crab at this time of year. In fact he's almost run out and needs somebody to dive into the local estuary and find some more for him. Jimmy is an accomplished swimmer and $20 is too much to ignore -- looks like he'll be getting wet.

We Need A Hero
One day, when Jimmy's out and about looking for kicks in Bullworth town, Officer Morrison, the local policeman approaches him. It seems that an abandoned tenement building has caught fire and Officer Morrison is struggling to get on top of the blaze by himself. Does Jimmy feel like saving the day? For $25, he's definitely the kid for the job.
