Does anyone think Bully 2 will be relased or announced this year ? :confused: ;D
Its been over a year since the Shawn Lee rumor, does anyone think that he was lying about Composing Music for Bully 2 and just did it for attention :-X
Anyway back to the topic, Its rumored allot around the web that GTA 5 Will be relased in 2012, its very unlikely that Rockstar will relase two Blockbuster Titles Bully 2 and GTA 5 in the same year
so if Bully 2 is going to be released do you think it will be this year and does anyone still think that Rockstar are working at it or have they finished and are ready to announce it :-X
Finally i think that most people that want Bully 2 are ps3 Owners including myself
This is because that XBOX 360 and Wii both have Scolarship Edition so they can play Bully as much as they want
But since ps3 doesnt have backwards compbability then theres no way to play it on a Sony System apart from PS2

If there is any truth to the Bully 2 rumors, I would assume that something would be announced before next December.
Going a little off topic, the fact that PS3 isn't compatible with PS1 and 2 games seems to be one hell of a big oversight by Sony. Those bastards should have done things differently.

They were compatible. It was costing Sony too much money, so they removed it. My brother has one of the older ones that can play both.
Actually, I think the new ones can only play PS1 games, not PS2.

I know I've said it a few times but Rockstar has LA Noire, Agent, and Max Payne 3 in the works as of now. Hopefully all can be released this year. As for Bully 2 I wouldn't expect anything until next year around E3 which is usually around June-July.

I don't think you'll have to worry about being male, they dominate the games. Got to admit though being a girl could open up so many more story lines which you couldn't do with a male.

I don't know, with Bully and the story it held I think having a male in this setting fits more. As Jimmy with a male ego you can get the girl. I wouldn't want to see it the other way. Only certain games with certain stories will fit to a girl as a main character. Bully isn't one.

Why not? Rockstar is notorious with it's crazy ideas mainly thanks to Dan Houser. I think we'd fit in perfect for most of their games. It's just according if your willing to put in the work, I'm going to try and go to school to do something with video games. I'd love to work on some Rockstar game or at least be a voice in it.

To create your own character is always a great feature. Espescially when you can choose between male or female and edit your character as you go along. I like that in war based games. The "make your own soldier" idea. An old game I saw that in was Syphon Filter: the Omega Strain. I have yet to play a PS3 game with that.

The only games I can remember that does it now are Saints Row and Mass Effect. Like you said it's a great feature, it doesn't get used that much which it should.

Rockstar has always been successful. With the games they make I can't imagine the qualifications needed.

All developers have policies. Mostly to keep currently developing games hush hush. Another one I saw was to not accept fan ideas.

Really? I should of gotten payed for that Jason vs Freddy movie. In 6th grade we were doing something about Indian in the Covered. We were asked if we could put anything into it to bring to life what would it be. I simply put I'd through a Jason, Freddy, Chucky, and Michael Mysers doll in it. Just so I could see them fight and see who would win. Mother fucker gave me an D- for what he called a bad idea.

Well in that case I'll accept a responsibility that many men coward out on. But the whole "getting partner pregnant" thing isn't happening any time soon. I take my share of precautions. My brother had a similar case when he trusted a girl who told him she was "taking the pill". Suddenly she was pregnant. This bitch cornered my brother with a pregnancy so he had to stay with her.

At the moment, no. I have no intention of having children. I'm open to the fact that I may change my mind in the future, but I feel like I'm the kind of person that won't be held down by a spouse or children. To me, that's baggage. I think I'll be 'married' to my career.

I am opened as well in the long term future. My "no intentions" are for the present day and near future. I'm certainly not ready for a kid at 19 while I'm in 12th grade. Give it time. Maybe when I actually am settlen on my own and can financially support myself I'll consider. Right now I'm still with the family. Bad time for having kids.

My name is carved in some guy's arm. Apparently he was obsessed with me and was mad at me or something and carved my name into his arm. Then he told me it was my fault he did that. Yeah, okay. I told him he was stupid.

Another here. When they send that man/woman out of the rehab program and onto the street they usually come back in. The issue is that there's more going in than out and prisons are packed. We should start using the death penalty more often. Issue with that is people die in prison WHILE on death row.

I heard a rumor saying we'll hear about the game sometime tin October such as a trailer or somthing. Rockstar Games needs to get Max Payne 3 out by this year so I doubt it will b this year. Theres A small possibility it'll be next year cause then they'll be focused on GTAV. theres a good chance it'll be out by 2013; Rockstar New England says theres making somthing awesome on the Bully board and New England is where the game takes place so they might be up to somthing... perhaps a game thats related to bully maybe? ;)

And look Doom went silent after Doom 3, then came back better than ever. And now we are getting a sequel to that.
Now would be the best time. RDR2 just came out. GTA is still bringing in a ton of cash because of online. No need to mess with the series. Although you can guarantee they are slowly working on 6.
Manhunt is the silent one I’d like, but less likely to see.
Max Payne maybe, but I think they don’t know where to go with the series.
I’m really hopeful tbh now is the best time, even if I am wrong.

I have always acknowledged Sequel Gaps being a common thing. Kid Icarus Uprising was released 21 years after Of Myths and Monsters for example.
Half Life 3 ehhh sure I'm aware there's issues with it but on the bright side Alyx is coming after 13 years. Phrasing oh no. Bully is currently sitting at 13 years and I've always had an open mind that there might be another one so long as Rockstar hasn't firmly confirmed it's just a one-off and they're done with the series.

Bully is what we all have been waiting for but take-two seems to care little about it. The mystery game "Agent" was supposed to be a playstation exclusive, but at this point people suspect it that the project was dropped.

Well with the surge of remakes it's not a ludicrous thought. Gotta feed off of people's nostalgia because cash money baby, which is clearly where Rockstar's priorities lie. Hell I wouldn't be surprised if they go this route before dropping Bully 2 or even GTA6. It's just easy money to pull this stunt rather than come up with original ideas.

I want to see a new spin on vice city with a new game. GTA 4 and 5 were based in Liberty City and San Andreas. The next one can only be Vice City or a location we have yet to see.
If we are truly lucky then maybe we'll get a curve ball and see a game we weren't expecting, but seeing take-two and their past record this isn't very likely.
Rockstar gets blamed for most of the issues people have, but it needs to be remembered that they are owned by take-two. Rockstar only makes what take-two wants. Rockstar may have good ideas, but take-two has to give the go ahead for the project.
This is a problem that occurs often when smaller companies are convinced into being bought out. Devs end up under a parent company who now holds the finacial backing and the say of whether a project is on the table or in the trash.

Everyone I talk to has mentioned a new GTA set in Vice City. I myself want the same thing, and to this day VC is still my favorite GTA. You take the original game and setting, with characters and story (Closest Scarface game you'll ever see) and music. It all fit together really, really well. That is one reason I think we've never seen the city again (excluding Vice City Stories)
Liberty City is played out atm, and San Andreas is still fresh. So Vice City would be an excellent location. Unless they went back to the first two games. If not I'd still to this day like to see them do more with Carcer City. Every GTA game has mentioned the city in someway shape or form. Yet the only game to feature some parts of the city is Manhunt.

I was not happy that the map of San Andreas with GTA V was not totally used. The Casino strip was a major part in the original game and would have fit well in GTA V.
Manhunt is usually a linear game and never was open world. It was very much story focused. Same for Max Payne.
If any Bully game comes the map will need to be expanded for sure, since it was small even for the hardware it was released on.
The beta map was actually found to be bigger if I remember right, so it may have been a cut due to the time of development being shorter than needed.
If anything about games like Manhunt or Bully, the issue is that people remember the old and use it as an expectation level for the new. On modern hardware it's difficult to keep with the standards of the community as the bar is held high. This is an easy way to guarantee disappointment.
GTA is easy to follow the expectations of since it almost is like a mold they use in the method of development and people mostly support it. With 5 games now, and maybe 6 coming, it's a series that's easy to roll out.
Other games are very different and harder to build since some don't even have a second game yet.

True, but I can also say this, Bully while being successful in its own right. I think Rockstar totally knocked it out the park but in doing so didn't realize they would. Unlike any other title by them the game is simply pure bliss. I mean you can throw a ton of ideas into a new game. But how do you keep the magic that was there to begin with.
Like you said GTA, even Red Dead is a simple magic. Bully had so much more though, every character was different with a backstory. I could keep going, but we are all here for one reason, we love the game.
It'd be hard to create that same magic, and with that comes the fear of failing, or coming up short. Especially how hard the market is anymore, with reviews, or how easily fans or newcomers are to upset. And I think this is why we see games not turning into series, or certain series stopping. Along with a ton of other factors. We can only hope though.

The two games I really enjoyed was Bully and Manhunt 1&2. I certainly enjoy GTA and RDR games. Manhunt and Bully just feel more unique. Mainly due to lack of content released for those 2 games in the past years.
These games on release were hit hard though with the Jack Thompson disease of "games cause violence" shit. Manhunt was censored unless you got it early.
The ESRB rating system is totally ignored by almost anyone to this day. Issues are blamed on the devs, not the method of access to the game in the first place.
As a result they feel like it needs to be removed from the market "for the children" who aren't supposed to have access to it in the first place. This causes issues where now everyone who is over 20 can't get it when it is removed. Pisses off the gaming community.
Bully was caught in the middle though because it was a teen rated game. This made it easy to target. Every bit of the controversy failed.

I remember when Bully first got announced. They (Jack, and the media) made it sound like a columbine type thing, Which was basically looking at Rockstars catalog of games, which everyone was violent I guess. Needless to say the game wasn't about that, and it wasn't being a Bully either.
I really honestly think most developers could and can get by with most content if they tried. Yea you'll have a little trouble from media, moms, or whoever. But, that'll only happen if the game us uber successful though.
Look at the developer Running with scissors, 4 Postal games now. None have been banned. They aren't super successful, yet they retain more crude stuff that your most average violent games.
As far as removing things, yea it sucks especially in other countries. I feel like the US is pretty light on certain things. So we get to keep most of it, even then if it is removed you can still find a means to get it if you really want it bad enough.

While Bully was a teen rated game, I kinda wish it had more of the dating thing San Andreas did, just maybe scaled to Bully and the rating at the time. Hell, there was a mission devoted to dating Pinky, lol.
I also wish Jimmy was able to grow height and strength like other students. Most jocks are bigger than staff.

Bruh I wish dating in Bully was better for sure. But I'm kind of a sucker for that sort of shit thanks to Harvest Moon. Being able to build individual relationships with the characters rather than just the entire faction is something I would really like to see in a new game.
Although I'd probably still beat the shit out of everyone so um.
A notable thing is Ricky being a chill dude and helping you get your trophy back while the Greasers are meant to be "indifferent" to Jimmy at this point. But as soon as you get -5 reputation with them they all just attack Jim on sight and oh ok.

I'll add random events in there, about the same as GTA V. Things around the school, or town to drop, and raise rep with each set. I hated at the end everyone was suppose to be a friend, and you couldn't control it.

Yep. Part of the reason I always had a chapter 3 file. No conflict can get boring.

Part of why people made a mayhem style mod where everyone fights. The lack of fighting can get boring. I kinda wish there was more pranks. Bag of dog shit, kick me signs are nearly impossible to get without mods, and the volcano firework.
Eggs have almost no use since they were only used in missions.
