I know you guys wanted to get some more non-Bully related themes here, but I just thought I'd give this topic a shot.
So I thought they could've made the new SE missions way cooler than they did.
'Small Offenses' being an example of this. All it is is Brandy smashing gnomes in the carnival souvenir shop. How stupid. You don't even have to do anything.
-
You don't need to go completely off Bully. If its gonna be Bully based just try and be sure its not here already. I didn't see any SE here. I'm trying to think of some topics to make on other games though.
-
That's what I thought. Maybe get a bit going for SE, for those who play it. I know I have my complaints about it.
-
No problem there. It cetainly fits here. There's certainly a bunch of other games that went through the cycle of controversy and people aren't fans of.
-
I'm kind of ticked off that they never added Gary's "Ohhh! Spank me!" into the game. >=(
-
What? Refresh my memory. I haven't played the original Bully in over a year.
-
Join the crowd dude....
-
I mean I've only played SE. I have been playing it recently.
-
I never played the SE version. I've played the original Bully though.
-
That part never made it into the game. They had it in a Christmas trailer, though. 42 seconds in.
Bully Holiday Special Trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQ1CPKzxa7c#ws)
-
Hahahaha they should've!
And the scene at about 22 seconds didn't happen in the winter.
-
Yeah. I call false advertising.
-
And Cobra, I thought you had SE?
-
Nope. I had the original Bully. I was going to get the SE until I saw all of the glitch issues. And I never got an Xbox neither.
-
I got both. Loved the original and couldn't wait to get SE. I don't know why they left SE out of PS3.
-
With all of the glitches in there I'm happy they did. I can't imagine the havoc it would turn loose on a PS3 if it could do it to an Xbox!
-
I never got to play SE either. Those winter scenes make me wish I had !!
-
Winter is something Bully needed more of.
-
I'm always sad watching the trailers, for example on the Christmas trailer, Jimmy had like a billion different clothes on there, new hat, new jackets, and a new blue hoody.
-
After the shit I saw had gone WRONG with SE, I'm happy I stuck to my original Bully.
-
I have the complete set of Bully, Xbox360, PS2 (Canis Canem Edit, the first and original one) and PC. Because Bully's my fav game :P
-
I never went PC. I've always stuck PS2.
-
I've played a lot of SE on 360, a lot of the game breaking stuff has been patched. There is still a ton of glitches though.
-
I've had some glitches in Bully, but nothing compared to SE.
-
Glitches are great, a lot of them don't really affect anything. Mostly nothing but laughs.
-
Some glitches are good. Some glitches REALLY suck.
-
That totally pissed me off....No SE for Playstation ? Assholes. ASSHOLES !!
-
After all of the bad glitches there were I'm not sure if I'd want it for Playstation.
-
I think they did that because of it wasn't on the regular Xbox, it was but got canceled. And if they did release it for PS3 they'd just have to release a patch for everything like they did with the 360.
-
I think it was 'cause of how little editing and time was put into SE that these glitches formed.
-
^ That and it was a port of the PS2 version. It wasn't made with these new systems in mind, only the PS2 version.
-
PS2 was meant to be the main platform of Bully. Its why when they did all of the adding onto Bully to make SE, it was short. The issue was that they never went through SE with a fine toothed comb and fixed the glitches. SE was never meant to have any significance. If anything a new game would hold more consideration.
-
SE was just another way to get buyers... I think it was also a way to show that they aren't going to give up Bully.... yet...
-
I didn't see the purpose of SE. The best I could pull for it was so that Bully can be made for Xbox. Nothing really special about SE.
-
It probably didn't even take a month to add those missions in there...
-
There wasn't really any change. They just took the original Bully and added a few new things to it. Nothing great.
-
The wii version wasn't any different except the new missions. But the Xbox 360 one had unbelievably better graphics...
-
And horrific glitches....
-
I don't mind glitches. As long as they aren't too bad or freeze the game...
-
Freezing is bad...
-
I don't mind glitches. As long as they aren't too bad or freeze the game...
^^ Too much of that in SE.
-
That is true...
-
It actually doesn't happen to me that often. But it NEVER happened in PS2......
I want SE with PS2 stableness.
-
A lot of Xbox games have that kind of stability. SE just wasn't considered significant. Bully was meant for PS2. When they had to start this for Xbox they weren't going to put that much of effort into it.
-
I just pray every night that SE wasn't the end of Bully.
-
With the way that story ended Bully needs to continue. Jimmy asked Crabblesnitch about the letter that was supposed to be sent to his mother and Crabblesnitch said "What letter?". That shows that Jimmy will be staying in Bullworth Academy.
-
The 'Endless Summer' should definitely not be the end. I'd be extremely disappointed if it was.
-
Usually the final cutscene hints you if there will be another game. With what I saw in Bully, I think there is going to be another. That final cutscene was a hint that the story of Bully is not over yet.
-
I'm just hoping Rockstar is going to surprise all of us Bully fans after being dormant with activity for a while.
-
They better. I would be disappointed if they didn't. This would be the first time that R* had failed me if they didn't bring out a second Bully.
-
I feel like there will be (maybe it's just all the hope I have), but I'm worried that it's taken too long and they only made SE to continue it a little; they knew that would be the last game all along.
-
But not making another would contradict Bully's story. What, did they expect Endless Summer to suffice as Jimmy's time there in Bullworth Academy?
-
I'm hoping they've got something clever up their sleeves. Which most likely, they do.
-
They tend to. Its just been so long. I really would've expected word about a second Bully some time ago.
-
Same. Let's all send them as many emails as we can saying the same thing tomorrow night at 10pm until we can't do it anymore.
-
They have an auto-blocker... After we send one, they block us for 24 hours....
-
That's 'cause people like us have complained nearly 100X in an hour and over loaded their emails.
-
I always try not to... If I have a chance to talk to them, I am not going to screw it up by being annoying...
-
I sent 2 letters to them by mail. The time of sending them was apart by at least a 1-2 years. I know that wasn't annoying. I never got any responses from them.
-
I sent two within a month I think. Got the same auto response.
-
Lucky you. I got nothing.
-
Where'd you send it?
-
R* in CA.
-
You would think that a company as big as R* could talk to you with at least 5 real words? But you know, Insomniac was in the middle of 3 games, and they have 180 workers, and they could respond to a question that was out of date by about 10 years! And R*, a HUGE ASS company can't respond to a big game and with as many companies as they have, working on 1 game isn't a major priority, and typing 'yes' and 'no' takes about 2 seconds! I am a little pissed off about that!
-
Maybe tits will help you in your endeavors.
-
Maybe. Maybe with some tits I'll get a simple fuckin' response in under a YEAR.
-
Send 'em a spread legs shot while you're at it......
-

Hopefully this means they don't want to announce that it isn't coming out because it is. But they want a surprise... We do have Shawn Lee....
and
Maybe tits will help you in your endeavors.
lol
-
I sent them letters just commenting on their games, nothing more. They can't even let me know they got the letter and read it?
-
Maybe they're so busy working on Bully 2! :p
-
That would be an acceptable answer!
-
I should ask KGB if they know ANYTHING about a Bully 2 coming out. They know everything... Dude they even guessed the color of underwear I had on!!!
-
At this moment I'm willing to take any valid info.
-
"When does bully 2 come out ?"
"Maybe never. 'didn't sell enough to warrant a sequel' says Wedbush Morgan Securities' Michael Pachter"
-
I don't think they have faith in Bully. I don't consider that valid.
-
What can they expect? They weren't as popular around that time... Sure the had GTA VC and SA, but now that they have Red Dead Redemption, they have everybody's attention with everything they make!
-
R* ALWAYS had everyones' attention.
-
And to think that it all started with this...
Grand Theft Auto (PSX) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDNgD-TAmaE#)
-
Yeah....I remember seeing that. GTA is where R* got most of its attention. Once they started spreading out and making other games and series they got an even brighter spotlight.
-
I always wondered how they evolved to GTA 4 and Red Dead from stuff like that arcade type shit...
-
As the quality of platforms evolved so did games.
-
I know someday when I am still alive, people will be playing 3d games with virtual glasses for about $300. Even though they already have started with Kinect and junk like that....
-
I never used 3D yet. It seems cool. I would want to see that on a PS3 game.
-
3D sounds too expensive for my standards yet...
-
Me as well. Just for a 3D TV its around $3000. For PCs they now have the one where its all touching the screen. That's around $1700. This modern stuff is cool but way too high in price.
-
I saw a Gateway touchscreen desktop for $1200.
-
Seems to have dropped, still too expensive.
-
It is... But Gateway makes everything at low prices... Unlike Apple... Sorry Dave, but it is true...
-
Apple has high quality stuff, which is why the prices are so high.
-
Apple has high quality stuff, which is why the prices are so high.
This. You will have to pay more to get your PC fixed in the end than buying a more expensive mac once.
-
They're good, but I really try to avoid them. Very few things do I get from them.
-
I've used PC's probably for the last 7 years. Just like Mac better. So no one say that I've only used them for a short period of time!
-
I have used a Mac for 5 years a while before I bought a Gateway. :P
I like Windows 7 more than OS...
-
I'm all the way with Apple, as I said, they have good quality. Its also reliable stuff. The prices can just tend to be to far sometimes.
-
Normally I don't believe that more expensive means better, but in this case.... :p
-
I didn't like mine. I dunno, maybe they improved greatly in the past couple years, but I didn't like mine.
-
They did. ^
-
Hm... Next year when I take my Pilot license test, I will make some $, and I will check into it...
-
I think they're overrated.
-
I need a new PC.
-
I think I'm the only Mac person here... :(
-
I've never had one, I'm sure there good. I've defiantly heard good things about them, but I'd never get one. They ain't really supported when it come to games.
-
They've actually been better at that recently. That was one of their major flaws years ago, but that problem's diminishing. But there are still some PC games I'd like to play and can't.
-
I've noticed that, and that's a good thing for them. If they could get full support, then I'd buy one. And a lot of other people would as well.
-
Exactly. They really did themselves a favor by releasing Sims for Mac. Imagine how well they'd do if they had everything else...
-
The Sims is just a small step, they need some big supported games. Like CoD, or any type of FPS. I don't know if it can, but even getting support with WoW. Just something that's really popular amongst the fans.
-
Sims isn't near enough for me!
-
I love Sims. Hours of addiction by controlling people's lives... Ahh.
-
I get bored with the SIMS after I design them.
-
I like killing mine, I drowned my wife, and let my baby burn.
-
@Snake - strange enough, I find that hilarious.
-
Lol I'm twisted that way with the Sims. I rebuilt the house, and my guy doesn't want to do anything but cry all day. He sets there and pisses on himself, he absolutely want do anything. I need to start over and make a bigger family.
-
Ha Ha, I gotta try that..... >:D
-
Looks like Chuck wants to add someone to the "family album".
-
Family album of the DECEASED.
-
Obituaries must be updated daily.
-
I'll just put 'em there with all the rest of the stiffs.
-
"County morgue, you kill 'em we chill 'em!"
-
Yeah, LOL....Does the Sims have a Mourge ?
-
You would need to look. I don't play Sims.
-
I always mess mine up. I had these two lesbians, and while i made them make out, the house was burning down and they just stood on the lawn and made out some more...
-
Now, that's just Nasty. Why weren't they in the burning house like all good lesbians ?
-
They were to far into it. If they were inside, they couldn't have "used their dog".... If you know what I mean...
-
I rebuilt the house, and my guy doesn't want to do anything but cry all day.
Hahaha I hate it when they do that. Just relax. You're not even real and everyone has to die sometime...
-
All of my Sims are Gay, Lesbian, or Bi. I didn't even want them that way... ^Lol I set a house on fire and this stupid black girl ran right into it and died! Now there is a damn urn there and I can move it! It is right by the door and the sim can't walk by it without stopping and crying!
-
An URN ? Don't they have a graveyard ?
-
Not if they die inside... I dunno why though.. I have the older versions for Mac and PC.
-
So....K....Is there, any dead bodies, any funerals ?
-
No. They just say that a member has died and then an urn appears where they died...
-
If you move it outside, it becomes a tombstone.
-
Do you have the old one?
-
Sims 2. Not sure about the other one.
-
I can't remember what I have. It may be the very first one...
-
For some reason I never got into Sims. I just saw it as the most worthless game. I'm surprised this game has even made it to where it is now.
-
I'm surprised that people buy it!
-
Me too! I never saw any fun in that game. I couldn't believe that it became a series.
-
It sounds Fuckin' Funny !
-
I always saw better, like AC Brotherhood. Other shit. That game has nothing fun about it.
-
Burning houses down... I don't play the Sims anymore... I stopped after the, lets see... First one? I played Sims City for a while... I thought it was better, then I got bored with that. Then I stopped and bought an xbox. I still have my ps2!
It sounds Fuckin' Funny !
Haha, it has it's moments... I always use the default house and scare them with the ghosts coming out of the tomb stones...
-
Sims to me is the most worthless game in existence. They really could have done better.
-
Still.....A game where I could screw up the make-believe lives of fake people just for the sadistic hell of it sounds appealing.....
-
You can screw up the make believe lives of fake people in GTA IV by shooting someone's brains all over the sidewalk.
-
Well, yes, that's true.....But I don't see anybody crying over them !
-
'Cause nobody cares. Plus who's gonna hang around a crazy gunman just to cry for someone?
-
No, there is something appealing about controlling people's lives. I don't know what it is. You won't either until you play...
-
Hell, now I want to play it again... I think I have it installed...
-
I'm actually considering the new civilization. It looks kinda good. Now that True Crime Hong Kong had that recall I'm trying to decide on my next game....
-
L.A. Noire is my next game. I just can't wait. April fifth. I'm going to Boston on the sixth and I might get it there after I buy all of my Sox souvenirs.
-
I intend L.A. Noire. That's certainly an intention. I'm just waiting for it to arrive.
-
Not that much longer now. They say it might not be until 2013 when they start AC 4.... They said that the series needs a "breather".
-
One game I was hoping to see more of is Sniper Elite. That game was awesome. Sadly it didn't move too far market wise. They even stopped producing it eventually.
-
I hate it when Big game companies buy a game license, screw it up, and stop making it... *cough* Activision...
-
Sniper Elite was made by Namco. I sent out a letter and as a response they thanked me for the comment and gave me demos to games I already have.
-
Haha. I like the companies that reply to the letters.
-
I wish they would give us a bit better of a reply than "thanks for the comments". Maybe giving me an actual letter would be nice.
-
Did you ever see the post that I made with the question that I sent Insomniac, and I got a great and complete answer about it. And you would think that a company of 190 working on 3 different games would be busy, but they still like to reply to fans. I love that company.
-
I never saw it. I'm surprised enough to have just a response alone. It sucks that they can't take the time to actually WRITE a letter like you did. I'm not asking for the next game in developement. I just want to know that a person actually sat down, read my letter, and made me a letter in response. The shit I've been sent doesn't even look like people typed it. Its like someone just did a copy & paste of something pre-set.
-
They are actually automated, so nobody read it at all :(
I didn't put the thread... Old news... But this is my call and response...
These are words from someone from the Insomniac Games staff. All of you Spyro fans, brace yourself.
Me: "I know you probably hear this a lot... But what are the chances of Sierra
selling the Spyro rights back to you and making more Spyro games? I like
what Insomniac did better than the newer ones."
"Hi Travis,
As far as Spyro goes, we didn't own the Spyro license, Universal did. Therefore, we had no say on which studios made games for the series. When we decided to do Ratchet, they took the series to another developer - it just makes sense business-wise. Just as we don't own Ratchet or Resistance. The PSP Ratchet and Resistance games were completely made by other studios with minimal input from Insomniac. We knew the basics of the storylines, but the rest was totally left to the other developers. I hope that makes sense. Video games after all are a business first and foremost, and sometimes that means different people work on different games.
We are a small studio and don't have the funding to buy the Spyro license back. And at this point there is roughly 10 people out of our staff of 170 that ever worked on the Spyro series. Sorry to say, there is no chance of us going back to Spyro at this point. We have our course set for the next 3 or so years - and unfortunately, Spyro isn't one of the games we will be working on.
Thanks for being so supportive of Insomniac Games. We all wish you the best."
-IG
-
That's actually the biggest and most detailed response I've seen yet. Usually you don't get that.
-
Your lucky for getting a response that big.
-
Word! I see a response like that as a miracle.
-
Sure is, the one I got from Rockstar was about 2 sentences long.
-
^ Same. I thought it was legitimate until I got another one a few months later exactly the same...
-
I get maybe 2-3 sentences thanking for the comments I gave.
-
I haven't bothered with R*. From what I hear, it is a waste of time to try and contact them.
-
I've sent them around 2 or 3 letters and have yet to recieve a response.
-
It's a waste for most developers, I received a good one from Bungie once. And that was on their forums.
-
I never heard of Bungie. I'm at the point where I just stopped writing. Why waste the time if I'm not gonna get the answer I'm looking for? Pre-K kids can write better letters than these people do.
-
Bungie are the ones who've made Halo. I know what you mean about not writing to them.
-
I never got into Halo. Too futuristic. I'm finding writing a great waste of my time. If I was kind enough to say something about your work then at least write me an actual fuckin' letter.
-
Does R* even have that contact button anymore? I looked on their main site yesterday and it was either gone or hidden somewhere hard to find.
-
They might not. Maybe they got overwhelmed by all of the mail.
-
I'm sure after everybody bought RDR, they got tons of new fans. And they couldn't even handle the few they had before.
-
As the variety of games got bigger so did the # of fans.
-
Yea it's still there, bottom of the page under more.
-
I haven't been there to use it so I wouldn't know.
-
They did try to hide it. Last time I went their, it was in plane view. But that was before there was any news on Red Dead Redemption...
-
'Cause they don't want a shitload of fan messages to flow in.
