Once you unlock the final area there will be a werehouse where you can smash them.

The pumpkins end up in the school basement.

You can smash them during help Gary mission.

even after the help gary mission the basement becomes fully open to you. so go in ther any time you want and destroy the pumpkins. you can destroy them on halloween. when you help gary, or after youhelp gary any time you want. you win either way.
