I never made a texture mod in my life in bully modding. So sorry, I don't know.

What software did you use? nifskope?
if it is nifskope?
just follow the step in the attactment picture
btw I rarely edit the UV map of a 3d model, there is only few mods that I create using this UV map, for eg. like the tony hawk skateboard that I released on the download section

But I do recommend you to use "3ds Max" to edit the UV texture, since it is a better software, in term of editing stuff like this

Just grab a copy of UVMapper and use that to get a template of the model 'unwrapped' that you can use to paint over in photoshop or another editing app. That is what I use for my uv maps. Game uv maps are very different then normal uv maps used in general 3d modeling, namely because in the instance of say a character model, you start off with different material zones for each thing like, torso, legs, arms, hands, head, face, etc and with game uv maps, all of that is combined into a single texture. Makes things easier for the game engine and it takes much less ram up for the textures when they are loaded.
