Because you can replace their models via meshing/rigging.

Yes, Lua with a MENU ingame it allows you to like.. play pete using gord's shirt.. etc

There's just a command to switch into their character model. That's it.

Thing is, Pete (including his clothing attire) is one model.
You'd have to have different models of the same character.

So let's say you have 3 shirts and 3 pants.
This means 9 variations (3x3).

So you would need to have 9 models for one character.
