Regarding modding, basically I have no idea of modding. I like tweaking things here and there, changing game files, but it's always just experimenting or trial and error. I'm less than an amateur.

Well friendo that IS half of modding right there (the other half being modifying actual memory while the game is running). Instead of just simple config files though, there's a lot more you can do too, like modifying script files. With Bully this is easily possible if you learn the basics of the lua scripting language. I've posted tons of guides on this... I think even one in a recent introduce yourself thread, so you can dig it up if you want. Sorry for being lazy but I'm on mobile at the moment so uhhhh yeah.

EDIT: Ay bro I got on my PC, so lemme get you some links.
This is a guide I wrote to help someone else, but it may still help you. http://www.bully-board.com/index.php?topic=23400.msg398619#msg398619
Also you can steam me if you wish, I'd love to help you: steam profile.
Well, yes it basically is, I may take a look at all that when I have time for it as I'm pretty busy at the moment. I've never really been active on Steam but thanks anyways, if I really get into modding it seems like being quite a learning curve to me.

Thanks for all your kind welcome!

It's nice to hear you guys like The Simpsons Hit & Run too! I love that game, I have it on PC, BTW.

Requests / Re: Draw distance improvement

That's a shame, really.
I have tried to edit the different timecycs from the game files, increasing the FarClp but it never really helped. Maybe I'm doing it wrong, or it has no impact over the draw distance. I'll keep trying to find a solution, hoping there will be a mod for this sometime.

Requests / Draw distance improvement

I'm new here, so I hope it doesn't come across as annoying that I'm already posting a new thread.

Anyways, the one thing that I always hated about Bully was the horrible draw distance/clipping or whatever it's called. You can't see distant objects and buildings pop up out of nowhere. if you climb up the town hall, there are gaps in the map, hafl-rendered buildings and you can't enjoy the view that could be so beautiful. To my knowledge, this is due to the mediocre PC port.

Since I played Bully for the first time, I permanently searched the internet, including these forums, for a fix, but haven't found anything. Hasn't anybody ever thought of making a fix for this, or is it impossible? I have no idea of modding, but it would be awesome if such a fix would exist.

Hey! :)

I'm arvak, you can also choose to call me Sam if you want to.
I'm 18 years old, from Germany and I adore Bully. It's absolutely one of my favorite games and I am still waiting for Bully 2... I thought that joining these forums would be a good way to bypass that waiting time period. ;)

See you around!
