Modding Questions/Help / Population.dat not working

Hi, i've used the IMG tool to extract Population.dat from Trigger.img, modified it to increase and spawn peds outside school (jocks for example) with the correct Total amount, but nothing happened after adding it back to Trigger. Same for Rich area. What can i do?

When you spawn him in free roam, he has the classic medium fighting style, but also much more health than the other greasers, so... is that an another individual ped type or..? Well anyway, thanks for the answers

I changed the attitude already, and since i made more cliques hate each other is why i asked. I'm not sure if it's just a coincidence, i made the bullies bully everyone from nerds to jocks and i see for example Dan getting a noogie from Russell pretty often. Russell also seems to mess with him more often than the other jocks. That's what i meant by "specific characters". Maybe it really is just me tho.

I was just wondering, is there a way to adjust the frequency of rival cliques trying to humiliate/mess with each other? Because i've been noticing specific characters picking on other specific characters from rival cliques a lot often than the other members, so this came to my mind. Thanks in advance for responses.

Preps - just about all of them, especially Chad and Justin
Greasers - Lefty

Sorry if there's already a thread like this. I was wondering, how do you make a certain ped spawn in a certain place? Like, for example if i wanted to spawn the janitor in the boiler room or Gary in town. I imagine you have to find out the exact coordinates. Also, in hex, how to change a word longer than the original one without messing up the game? (i.e. Striker to Grappler) I've tried putting in the "00" dots, but that doesn't help.

So if i got that right, i extract population.dat, modify it and replace the original one, right? And just out of curiosity, why are in some places more people than the clique has? (i.e. 15 jocks) And the last thing (i think) is what do the clique names mean? (GREASERS - 15 greaser) are those the hangouts or something?

Right..sorry for being a total friggin noob but by that you mean like a file within a file or something? How do you open it? Explain to me pls. I opened trigger.img with notepad, but i only understood little of it.
