Title: how to separate this?

I have 3ds max, I want to separate johnny's jacket from his head, and his leg. how to do this?

I'm sorry to say I cannot help you, but if noone else here can I bet you can get better answers on some 3ds max forum.

I have done something very similar to this in the past. You need to use the vertex and you should be able to just select any area you want. Then you can easily remove it, or just move it. If you need anymore help PM me.
