Title: Happy Volts Asylum..... Why?

Why is Happy Volts there?
IMO it seems pointless creating a place where no one spawns.
If it was like the way it was during Galloway Away or Finding Johnny Vincent, it'd make Bully so much more interesting.

I'm just a bit annoyed since exploring the Asylum would be so much more fun if it was filled with inmates.

And before anyone says "PS2 Limitations" I doubt that since
1.) GTA SA was a way bigger game. So no excuse why they couldn't add a few more lines of code to spawn the inmates.
2.) It's on PC and Xbox 360 and Wii. Which can all run Black Ops, which is bigger than Bully too.
3.) I think it was dropped (why?) since there are audio files of inmates. (Enter the asylum and you hear screaming) 


As I mentioned, Bully'd been so much more fun if the Asylum had the inmates. because without them its unrealistic and a waste of memory space. :/

I read on Bully wiki that one of the townies was going to be one of the inmates there, but with character development that idea was dropped

But the files are there.
Plus you do see them in the asylum missions and that errand for Gregory.

Maybe it had something to do with the plot of the game, but then they disliked the idea but left the files there.

Yeah, that cheeses me off too (along with a bunch of other stuff).  WTF would have been wrong with having a few crazies running around ?  Sure would have made things more interesting.  And no mission in the Autopsy Room ?  Really ?  What a waste.

At the very least, they could have fixed the damn merry-go-round.  I kept waiting for that during the game.  Why even have that damn thing there ?

I really wish there was lots more places we could have gotten into, like the retirement home.  At least some houses, or classrooms in free roam. 

Really pissy was only having access to the tennaments and the junkyard for missions only.  Or the teacher's lounge.  WTF ?  They got a Beam Cola machine in there, why not ?

The Asylum was actually meant to have a PA system (it's only disabled). There's a bunch of unused dialogue for that.

Also, there were meant to be A LOT of different inmates, each saying their own line. But all those were removed too.

The PA wasn't removed.I've haerd it on Wii.
They say something like "Don't eat the furniture" or something like it.
Only heard it 3 times though, different things.

Oh, shit yes. I fail to see why these places can't be opened up for free roam after the missions are done.  Harrington House was opened up (at least in PS2), so why not the rest ?

Not that I heard yet. But I will ask Mad if he came across any beta things pertaining to it in the scripts.

Harrington House can be unlocked.......... I can confirm this.
You completed Weed Killer before getting expelled?

Oh, yes, I did.  Is that why some can't get in ?  I always got into Harrington House after that.  I always wished that it would be populated with Preps so I could beat the snot out of them, but it is always empty.  So, basically, you're just left with vandalizing the place over and over again.

I have 2 saves on Wii, Chapter 5, after Finding Johnny Vincent.
On the one I did Weed Killer and then got expelled.
On the other I just got expelled.
After beating Gary, on both files, I went to Harrington House, and on the one which I did do Weed Killer, HH was unlocked, however, on the one which I didn't do the mission, HH was locked.

You should try it out sometime.

In that case it works on all versions of Bully.
