Anti-Bully / Grown man hunts down and attacks child who kills him in Call of Duty game

A 46-YEAR-OLD fan of Call of Duty tracked down and attacked a schoolboy who had killed his computer game character, a court heard.

 

Mark Bradford, 46, admitted he 'just lost it' after a 13-year-old player gunned-down his character then proceeded to mock him over the microphones used in the game Call Of Duty: Black Ops.

Jobless father of three Bradford confronted the youngster at an address in Plymouth, Devon (UK), and started to strangle him, Plymouth Magistrates Court was told.

The attack only ended when the teenager's horrified mother pulled Bradford off the boy then he left without any explanation.

The teenager's mother said: “It’s pathetic that a grown man would attack a defenceless child like this.

“If you can’t handle losing to a child then you shouldn’t be playing games.”

Bradford admitted the attack was 'moment of madness' as the child 'would not shut up'.

He said: “I'd been playing the whole day and he was baiting me and baiting me and just would not shut up.
“He went on and on and I just lost it. I hold my hands up, I lost the plot. In a moment of madness I went round to his house. I didn't know what I was going to do.”

Bradford admitted one count of assault by beating

Magistrates ordered a probation officer to prepare a full report on his background before he is sentenced.

This had me cracking up man.

Anti-Bully / Zombie video game enrages members of the Tea Party

Responsible for other politically themed games, Jason Oda recently self-published a zombie shooter on the Web called Tea Party Zombies Must Die. The game puts the player into the roll of a survivor of a zombie apocalypse and arms them with weaponry to take out zombified, heavily stereotypical versions of Tea Party supporters as well as popular Tea Party figures such as Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann. Other political figures that have undergone a zombie transformation include Republican presidential candidates Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich as well as Fox News figures like Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity and the recently fired Glenn Beck.

The game is filled with positive Obama facts in between levels as well as negative statements about the Tea party. Within the level design, players will find the Confederate flag, anti-socialism posters equating President Obama to Hilter and incendiary racist comments littering areas like trailer parks. Stereotypes of Tea Party members include such titles as “Generic Pissed Off Old White Guy Zombie” and “Factory Made Blonde Fox News Barbie Zombie”. Oda is also responsible for other politically-divisive games such as 2008′s Kung-Fu Election, a Mortal Kombat style fighting game that pitted political opponents against each other, and Bushgame.com, a game where players fought against creatures inspired by popular figures in the Bush administration.

While conservative bloggers are calling out the game as potentially inspiring violence against the Tea Party, it’s unlikely that many people are enjoying the Flash game or even playing it. The game’s graphical design is reminiscent of an uglier version of Doom, the controls are very unresponsive and the tired gameplay style is extremely dated. With vastly more entertaining, zombie-laden games available like the recently released, well-reviewed Dead Island, the popularity of Tea Party Zombies Must Die within the gaming community will likely die off within days of release due to poor execution.

Anti-Bully / Policeman Blames London Riots on GTA

The recent riots in London over the weekend are being linked video games.

An unnamed police constable was quoted in the London Evening Standard today saying, "Go home, get a takeaway and watch anything that happens on TV. These are bad people who did this. Kids out of control. When I was young it was all Pacman and board games. Now they're playing Grand Theft Auto and want to live it for themselves."

Riots began in Tottenham, north London, on Saturday night after a local man, reportedly armed with a replica gun, was shot and killed by police on Thursday.

So far, police have arrested over 160 people and charged 16 of them with crimes for burglary and possession of weapons.

Anti-Bully / Norway Terror Suspect Used MW2 for "Training"

Found this on IGN just now, and damn is it going to stir up some shit.

In his 'manifesto', Anders Behring Breivik, the suspect in the brutal slaughter of 93 people in Norway last week, wrote about his enthusiasm for videogames, and how he used them as part of his "training".

The 1,500 page manifesto is currently being scrutinized by law-enforcement and media alike. It includes a desire to form a Europe, free from non-Christian religions. It's a bizarre hodge-podge of extreme right-wing views including a negative fixation on Muslims. Breivik also enjoyed gaming. He wrote, "I just bought Modern Warfare 2, the game. It is probably the best military simulator out there and it's one of the hottest games this year. I see MW2 more as a part of my training-simulation than anything else. I've still learned to love it though and especially the multiplayer part is amazing. You can more or less completely simulate actual operations."

He also used World of Warcraft as an excuse for friends and family to cover other activities. "For example, tell them that you have started to play World of Warcraft or any other online MMO game and that you wish to focus on this for the next months/year. This 'new project' can justify isolation and people will understand somewhat why you are not answering your phone over long periods. Tell them that you are completely hooked on the game (raiding dungeons, etc.)."

Since the creation of video games there have been a ton of them made. A lot of great ones, a lot of bad ones. We've all had our fair share of both. But have you ever came across a game and said WTF is this? Weird ass games, got any in mind? I'll start with this one.

Anti-Bully / Series going bad

There are a lot of series around that have been great. But some have seemed to take a wrong step and went in another direction. For instance Silent Hill, I have loved 1-3, they are amazing. They got a great atmosphere and a great story especially the 2nd one. I have slightly been disappointed with the series since SH4. It just feels like the world, atmosphere, and story have taken a backseat. And gameplay has been the main focus, and they still can't get that right.

Do you feel this way about any series?

I'm Josh huge fan of the game, kind of got into it a little late though. And luckily I found this site, every other site I've been on to talk about the game has died. So maybe this one will last longer, but I'm glad I found it.
