Is there a way to apply for a Moderator position?
I am not thinking of applying yet, because I recently registered, but it'd be useful to know.

To become a moderator, you need to simply prove you're a good member around the board, and are loyal (by being here for a long time could help that). Also that you don't bring arguments to the board, or participate in them. If you try to be a peace maker too between people fighting, that's even better.
The point is, you don't apply to be one. You're just let in when you are seen as someone who would make a good one.
One thing you wanna avoid is asking for it or begging, but asking this first one time doesn't really hurt..
Just have fun on the board, be a good guy, and if you seem worthy, you'll become one.

Trust me when I say that the staff keep a close eye on each member individually.
Like BOSS said, try to prove yourself a good member.
- Don't do this by making your own investigations about other people's arguments. This has been done before by various of members and it never proves anything good.
-
And don't forget the time on the board factor...I was here a year & a half myself before being a Moderator...It's just not something that's given right out to newbies, no offense.

i think you have to kill one of the current ones in order to take over for them. :euro:
.....hehe only kidding of course.

That's what I thought I had to do to become a mod when I first joined BB
But honestly, like everyone said, you just have to prove to be a good member. This won't be proved in a day and night, as this needs time. Any member here took time to be a moderator.
I myself wanted to be a moderator so much when I first joined, and actually talked with the staff about it here at least 2 times. As an advice, just forget you want to be one and just act normally, and you'll find yourself becoming one.
