plus like myspace it is unfortunately a breeding ground for cyberbullies, pedophiles and other nasty ppl.

Here is a question for you.....how do you really know that a person you chat with on facebook or myspace is really who they say they are? It is too easy to make accounts with false info and pose as someone else.

If you are really interested in someone on FB that you dunno IRL and aren't sure if they're real just ask them to strike a pose of a kind. IF they are really interested in you too, they're gonna do it. If not, it's either a fake profile or someone who doesn't care to show you anything.

I used a fake name because there were some people who I didn't want to add in real life.
I added trusted friends, YouTube friends and some SA:MP friends.
I often got bored and you'd be surprised how many "video game" characters have Facebook.
Jimmy Hopkins has CJ, Niko, Atlair, Spyro, Earl Hickey, Claude Speed, Ezio, Sonic, Homer Simpson, Stewie Griffin, Wario and Mario and everyone from Bullworth. etc.
For a joke I RP'd Johnny for a few days. I got 10 friend requests, 6 from people who I don't know (from other countries) Derby, Jimmy, Lola and Claude.
I never accepted them. I declined them,

I had a similar story, but I use to have privacy settings as "Friends of Friends" and she sent a message to me on my personal E-Mail and said I looked "Really cute in the picture"

(It was a picture with my dogs) and I ignored it and changed the status to Friends Only, lol.

Yeah I used to have a MySpace account and got rid of it for some of the reasons listed here (random weirdos contacting you; jerks you know in real life).  I never got a Facebook or Twitter account.  At my age, it just seems a bit silly.

BTW we've done a good job of thread jacking here.   :laugh:
