Bully: Scholarship Edition Betting Mod
Ok,

Steman and I have decided to give everyone a sneak peek at a upcoming mod that we are working on and which will be released very very soon tho I will not give any eta on when this will be released but lets just say that if things go according to plan, sometime in the next week or two tops. If it takes longer then that, I will post here explaining that and why. But for now let's get to the good stuff shall we?

The betting mod is a mod that a lot of ppl have been wanting and here is what it is all about:

This mod will allow you to place bets on any fight you can dream of in bully. Not only can you now just watch the two midgets fight like before but also have any two people fight one another in the ring!

This mod is for the midget wrestling ring in the freakshow part of the carnival.

We do have a couple bugs we are still working on fixing which should be pretty quick and the bugs are as follows:

We do ask that everyone please be patient while we finish this mod before begging for a release since we will not release this before it is ready.

Great work on the topic mad congrats, i'll update the list as soon as i get chance, also this may sound stupid but whats the difference between the patients and the orderlies? is it just a different fighting style or summet?

Well, they dress different for one.

Patients are mostly students, but there is an adult patient. They all use the townie style normally, but they have a mission style called "Crazy_Basic".

Orderlies are authority figures, and they sedate people when busting them.

This Is gonna be a really awesome mod. I wonder how the authority figures will fight since they can only bust and slap in the face.

I think troy is the guy using the edna mask in halloween.

 :P, yea it should be a descent mod once released, even i'm excited on how this patch thing is going to look once the full list is attached to it.

@d34dph00l I think an authority match would be funny and just possibly leed up as a judo style first grapple to win fight, i havn't had the time to try this yet sadly, also the guy in the mask is the guy whos been named in mads first post,

iv'e tested all the names their one by one by hiring them all as bodyguards and just putting what names are shown as a ally down on the list. (which is why its taking so long to complete, as I can only test 2 model id's at a time to get their names and then i have to terminate the game then load the entire game aggain from scratch after editing the needed file) (you could just ask red, as hes seen a preview of this list and how its comming along, he will vouch for how large of a job this list really is)

We could just have it done willy nilly just by going whats down on the ide, but a proffesional job is what me and mad have agreed upon.

anyway slight update on the list now that subjects arose and its near enought 2/3-3/4 complete, Iv'e just got to slog out a few more nights and that job will be done, to a good and acceptable standard, then it will be all up to mad once i've got that problem sorted. and this will be a big job on its own

In the ide bully01_ween is named ivan (non clique) but normal bully01 is named troy (bully). I think rockstar confused the names.

@dead good observation, it seems strange that the halloween edna skin "GN_Bully01_Ween" would be named as troy as he isn't even a bully, it should be named "GN_Boy01_Ween" as Trevors halloween skin after is called "GN_Boy02_Ween"

We have to find a program that can spawn the characters on imstant rather than starting the game over. Probrably making our own script in the bully game like missions by doing this we can get the characters to fight at our control like a dvds play and stop function. If we create a way or program that can make the game do that would be awesome the only prokem is the game not crashing. Like the trainer it can certain things come about and if we can create a ped fightin trainer it would be a great program like a self script hook changer we can create a list of ped modles and ped health bars it would be perfect. The other thing is controlling where this character spawns and what its ped model name is. I can get started on this soon but it will take some time to make because creating a self trainer program on top of a modified game is pretry hard to do but it shall be done. @Madman and Steman if you che me creat this it will be easier for your betting mod I will explain more soon.

Nope...this will be super easy since I am coding a special multi patcher to do all of the work for you aside from making backup copies of your original which we will provide in the release archive. The patcher will come with every ped we have found enabled and a readme to tell how to use it which will be very easy. Now that Steman has basicly got the list done I am in the process right now in making a test release that will feature just a limited list of peds to see how the release goes and if it does well enough we will release the entire mod with every ped enabled for use on the patch but remember...you will only be able to use two peds at any given time for the boxing/betting mod and to change the peds you have to exit the game...run the patch and select which person(s) you want and run the game again...this is the only current method until I get around to fully decompiling the lua scripts which I will soon be starting on since I know somthing about them that I have not told anyone here yet but will soon.  Steman and I tho still have two more mods to finish up with before I tackle that since the next two mods are very important with one being in bad need of a update (the vehicle spawner) which is going sketchy at best due to being too busy with this mod but once that is cracked out then you all will see a bunch more releases from me since I have several lined up that are very very big.

Here is the list of peds that will be in the patcher for this mod....I am currently working on the patch and have the interface designed and ready to go...I will be adding the byte patches to it and soon as that is done this will be ready for a full release. I just ask that everyone here please be patient and I will get this done. Ah Thanks m8, I probably should have put that in the proper section but was pressed for time when I first made the topic and just kinda forgot about it being in the wrong section...lol so I appreaciate you catching that for me. Far as the mod goes....trust me...ppl will most likely like this mod soon as we get it released which I am trying for this week sometime if everything goes according to plan.

Modding is a growing thing here. It's growing fast too. A lot of the members who sign up here are modders. The modding is an extremely active thing here and continues to expand on the forum. A good portion of the forum's activity comes from the modding-related sections.

Yup. The gta community was the same way in the beginning......started slow...then about a year or so after the game was out then the modding really just took off...has not stopped since.

I havent really checked that section out at all. Barely have checked any of the other sections aside from the few I have actually posted in other then the bully modding area. Gotta admit tho that things are really hopping lately and I can say that I am having loads of fun just being part of it.
